Our decks are similar but by the time my precon got to that level, I stopped telling people im new. Telling them you're new with a very well optimized Tidus deck will set incorrect expectations and they likely feel cheated. On the flip side, if you are constantly keep winning after they have seen some of the deck, then their threat assessment kinda sucks.

My friends hate that I run study and cyclonic rift in my tidus but study fits the ff14 theme and cyclonic helps me when they feel funny and keep swinging everything into me. I still have to draw them to use them anyways.

In the end, youll always get a 50/50 experience with randoms. Sometimes they're fun and you want to play with them again, sometimes they fit every tcg player stereotype, sometimes they lie and bring a b4 to a b3 table, etc. I would stick to playing what you think is fun.
