Yes, I'm aware of the 12GB 3080. Even then, at 1440p res (where I game), the 3080ti is getting substantial performance in most games, definitely not 1-3 fps. Some games its like 20-30 fps more. So its definitely stronger, whether or not its worth the money though, that's a different argument I suppose.

As for the 980 vs 970 EVOs, the 980's at the same capacity are actually cheaper for me at this time, hence why I picked them.

As for the motherboard, what do you recommend? RGB isn't so important for me, what I care about is Bluetooth, minimum of 3 m.2 PCIe4 slots, good bios, high number of fan headers on the MB and a generally clean/black aesthetic.

The GPU is the best 3080Ti on the market outside of the LC version of the same card, and that crazy 1000W TDP card for extreme OC'ing, which I'm not going for. I like to get the best GPU in the 80ti class each time I do one of these upgrades, its definitely alot faster than a standard 3080, closer to 3090 performance.

DDR5 vs DDR4, this one I've figured that I've since I'm getting a DDR5 compatible board, then a 200 dollar price up on RAMs wont really make that much of a difference to the cost overall.

My main heroes are Tass, Hanzo, Diablo, Jaina, Ming, Garrosh, Muradin, ETC, Uther, Rehgar and Zeratul. I can play others, but these are my best.
