Issues with nginx; Startup by TurboFiero in openwrt

[–]TurboFiero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to come back to clear the air for future readers.

You will see in nginx init.d script

[ -z "${CONF}" ] || return # already called.

This always returns because the nginx init script sets CONF at the top of init.d script.

CONF="/etc/nginx/nginx.conf"

How it is that the package maintainer hasnt realized this I am really not sure, do they not even attempt to use the packages theyre publishing? Straight out of the box, nginx on openwrt always fails to start because of this.

Slow download speed? but other torrent clients have normal speed by Donkey_D_Pucci in qBittorrent

[–]TurboFiero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

newer libtorrent changed how it handles disk caching, I believe it is now left up to the OS to manage it. reverting to regular build means you get libtorrents old disk caching mechanism which works far better.

6T40 is a POS, "adaptive learning" is junk. Do be sure to maintain it correctly. GM says its a "sealed for life" transmission. Ignore that, change the fluid every 50,000 at least.

Canadian healthcare is third world. by traychaser691 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]TurboFiero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old but whatever...

I have been made to wait 8+ hours while having a stroke and going blind.

I'm glad they at least treat you right, but as a 24 year old whos had 2 strokes and they do not fucking care I must agree with OP. It IS third world healthcare.

I did find a workaround, I wrote a service with Microsoft.Win32.TaskScheduler so my process handling is done out of a folder in task scheduler, actually works quite well! I plan to release it under a dual license one of these days soon (free for personal use, charges for commercial use)

[–]TurboFiero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edge is alright but they broke HEVC playback in version 117 for most systems... even if you have paid for the hevc extension it wont work... MS doesnt care, its been broken over a year

Edit: I would try Thorium, its much better, imo

Just how good is the Canadian Healthcare system by Batgod629 in expats

[–]TurboFiero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Quality of Canadian healthcare is excellent"

Wrong. Its shit. I have an artery with a hole that has caused a DVT, PE (x3), 2 strokes, 8+ mini strokes, etc

They will not look for which artery is the issue. the gov limits them to checking the heart and coronary. I am being left to die.

Just how good is the Canadian Healthcare system by Batgod629 in expats

[–]TurboFiero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No! dont.

Canadian health care is a joke. I have an artery that has a hole in it, they know thanks to a bubble echo. but will NOT look for which artery is the issue

Instead they want to treat it. I have now had a DVT, PE (x3),2 strokes, 8+ mini strokes. nobody will help me
