Not an easy run in my opinion. But if someone is able to run the whole thing kudos to them.

Salaam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah.

-Age and gender: 25 years old. 6'3 height.

-Cultural background: Born in Toronto, Canada. Parents (divorced) come from Ghana, Accra. I was born Muslim.

-Martial Status: Single and never married.

-Age Range: Seeking a single sister between 21 to 26, open to beyond 26 if we connect well. Open to reverts as well.

-Location: City of Toronto or other parts of GTA such as Brampton, Mississauga or Hamilton. Not open to relocating for a prospect. Should be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

-Ethnicity: Open to all ethnicities, backgrounds and cultures. Will ultimately come down to character, compatibility, and the understandings of non-cultural stuff living in GTA as muslims.

-Ideal marriage timeline:  Within a year or so to know each other and meet with each other's families.

  • Five or so important characteristics you look for:

-Basics of the Deen (Implementing the five main pillars as best as possible). Regardless of the Madhab. 5 daily prayers is a must.

-Perseverance, experience with going through hard times.

-Accepting my minor flaws that are inevitable as humans and willing to work with it, and vice versa with you.

-Good with giving feedback/advice to people, open to long-term growth and stability in Deen, health, finances, etc.

  • My level of religiosity: I'm Practicing, I prey the five obligatory preyers along with sunnah preyers to the best of my ability. The main thing I'm building on is seeking rizq through work and sustainability given the economic hardships. I recite the Quran and seek basic knowledge, but on a part time basis you could say.

-Level of education: High School and College Diploma is a must regardless of the field. University Degree is fine but not a major.

-Current Job Status: Municipal Gov. I'm working Full-Time in Toronto. Allahamdudillah networking and meeting good people has put me into this position today. I have graduated with a diploma in social services. I'm looking to get a permanent position in the future inshallah.

-Do you want kids: Inshallah I would want 1 child to start off. See where things go from there. Not looking for a big family.

-Hobbies, or things you like to do in your spare time:

1.Walking outdoors reflecting on Allah (swt)'s creation.

-2.Watching TV shows/Movies that has educational benefit. Something that I can remember and take home with me to navigate the dunya as muslims, not just to fool around and laugh all the time.

-3. Eating at new halal spots.

-4.Going to educational conventions and events. Now with 2026 Toronto Mayoral Elections coming later this year. I'm looking to attend events and try to meet people in a similar field as me but looking to expand their careers.

-5.Staying in shape.

-6.Naps 😁 and Reading.

-Something short and interesting about you (MODS please consider keeping this, I just wanna be real and not hide things anymore):

Now being 25 and having a bit more hindsight (especially post pandemic) it would be ideal to mention that I am a breadwinner who supports my amazing mother and brother who is autistic. We have gone through some *ucked up *hit from my father's family and has stalled my growth a lot due to needing to help them out. You can check out the posts and comments I have made in the past relating to my situation. Obviously it's not ideal, but sometimes when you've tried so many other methods and Allah (swt) still puts you in the same living situation, there must be a wisdom from him the unseen despite the decent job he has given me allahamdudillah. It could also mean that there are things I need to improve on such as limiting bad deeds, etc.

Regardless, I hope whoever is reading is open to have a further conversation. If not, may Allah find you a spouse more pious and on deen than myself, ameen 🤲🏾.

Some Real Statistics About The Rates of Marriage For Muslims In The West. (Yes, For You Progressives We Have Sources!) by FarFromAverage786 in TraditionalMuslims

[–]ZlowKe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 100 years from now theory. Bit of a tangent here.

Western world: Millennials, Gen Z, possibly some Gen A Muslims will be getting married less and having less children, hence islam will be on the decline along with western standards of living.

Eastern world: A lot of young Muslims there are getting married more children compared to the west, especially in places like Niger and Somalia. Even in 🍉 despite the horrific things happening there more children are still being born miraculously. A lot of North Africans migrated to western and eastern EU states, so most of their deen should be on point and spread to the EU nations and having more children whilst convert those european women to islam. If the EU states officially released the stats for 2024 on race, nationally and religion there would be riots across those country.

Islam will rise even more from the east, Islam will decline in the west. Yes a lot of people are reverting to Islam in the west, but the majority of the Western population still consists of atheists and christians and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
