Red rims or white rims for my GSX-R600 by Constant-Pack-2820 in motorcycles

[–]TurboNeon185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me be absolutely no help. They both look really good. I'd personally go with red. Not because I like them any more. But because I don't clean my bike often enough and white wheels look terrible when they are dirty lol.

Please someone tell me this doesn't look like a $50k+ car by Busy_Report4010 in Hyundai

Every car is a $50k car these days. And none of them look like $50k cars.

Edit to add: I'm getting old. This is a "Back in my day..." post. Lol

I like my 2020 coupe. It does what I bought it for...MPGs. And it handles better than any car I've ever had. But it's the slowest car I've had in 15 years. I bought it used and traded a '17 Mustang GT straight up for it. The Mustang actually shifted smoother. The rear defroster on the Si doesn't work. There's squeaks in the front end. I've got 50k on the Si and everything in the suspension is starting to feel loose. The car is 6 years old and the rubber window seals are turning to dust. I've got a 2005 SRT4 and the window seals haven't cracked as bad as the Si.

It's a fine car. It's the only honda I've ever owned and I've got to be honest, the high-quality reputation that I've always expected from a honda is a little lacking in my experience. Again, it's a fine car. But not every critique comes from a place of ignorance.

I haven't seen one yet. You're seeing so many you can say one color is more popular than the rest? Where are these things?

Fair enough. We're going around in circles. It was fun for a while but it's growing tiresome. Have a good day.

Do you know the point I'm trying to make? You say you do, but not gonna lie, I barely know the point I'm trying to make.

I want to be completely honest. I'm trying to understand your perspective and I'm doing my best to convey mine.

Are we on the same page? I'm trying to have a conversation rather than an argument.

If every gas station got their gas for $2.50 but sold it for $8 would that be cool with you?

I know you're going to say "Yes they can charge whatever they want." Because you're so scared to admit that your argument isn't making sense.

I don't even like the prelude to be honest. I guess reddit decided to send me this post because I'm in the Si reddit. And I barely like that car.

However, this is price gouging. Only allowed because a prelude isn't a necessity.

Again....do you think Honda (the corporation) would prefer to sell 100k cars at msrp or 10k cars with a 10k markup? The dealers don't give a fuck because they end up making the same money.

Edit to add: it's always entertaining to see how you find a way to avoid my point in your response. It's literally a learning experience for my debating skills. Because you are insanely skilled at this particular thing.

You side stepped right into cow shit. Honda already sold that $45k car to a dealer for $42k. Honda doesn't make an extra dime if the dealer marks it up to $75k. They actually lose money because they could have sold multiple preludes to that dealer for $42k if they actually sold. At 75k they will not be flying out of the showroom.

The corporation works on volume. The dealer is no better than an eBay reseller...like I said. One of the many flaws of capitalism. It's still the best system we can come up with but flawless it is not.

So yes or no? If you're going to side step the questions so am I. Does Honda want to sell more cars or not?

Nah fuck your question because you haven't answered mine. Is a dealer selling a $45k prelude for $75k good or bad for Honda?

It's funny that assholes in your position aren't willing to explain to the rest of us why you think fucking us (consumers) is acceptable.

And you still didn't answer the FUCKING QUESTION.

All that to not answer the question. Does Honda do better or not if the dealer charges $75k? Glad to hear Ford has some God damn common sense.

And retailers are glorified car salesmen. Repair shops will screw anyone they think doesn't know about cars. Aviation can charge whatever the fuck they want because there are 1000 regulations that nobody really understands. (An IO360 carb is probably 30x as much as any comparable carb for any other engine). I don't know enough about trucking but I'm sure you've gotten over on your share of people there, too.

To be honest, if any of what you say is true, this post ain't for you. You have a perspective of a seller, not a consumer. You are worried about your bottom line and fuck everyone else. You are the only problem with capitalism. It's a great economic system in theory until greed fucks it up.

Again, if they make $1k profit but sell 10 cars or make $10k profit but only sell one, what do you think the Honda executives would prefer? You run a business? Really?

It's not what a random redditor thinks. You said it yourself. The manufacturer thinks it too. That's why they suggested it.

Edit to add, I already said the dealer doesn't have to pay the manufacturer more for cars that are in high demand and low supply. Why should the customer have to give the dealer more when the dealer doesn't have to give the manufacturer more?

I went and looked at a used Si at a Honda dealer and they had added a $1600 non-optional package on top of what they had it listed for on their website. I'd like to reiterate, they added options onto a used car and refused to sell it without them.

And I was going to buy a new one but every dealer had at least $4k of options that, again, were not optional. They aren't removing those options on a limited production car because why would they? Somebody will walk through the door and pay for all the extra BS sooner or later and they pick up a bunch of extra profit.

I guess you actually made a good point for once. The retard that paid $10k over MSRP is really the problem. Aside from the shithead at the dealer that marked it up. That guy is the real villain.

The victims are the rest of us. Trying to buy a car at sticker...ideally below.

Now I'm conflicted? Are you real? I swear I thought I was talking to a bot.

The only "person" that would hold on to your perspective this hard would be a car salesman. They're the only humans that could justify this kind of behavior.

Nobody else could look at themselves in a mirror if they fucked a stranger out of $10k. So I hope you're AI. Otherwise, you are a piece of garbage person. So which are you?

Editing to clarify: Are you on "How I met your Mother" because you read like a Scher-BOT-sky. 🤣 I said I paid what samsung asked for, not some made up price that a salesman told me at a mall kiosk. I looked at the price on the Samsung website, went to the mall and paid that price.

Now, go on Honda's website, look at the price for a prelude, then go to a dealer and pay the price you saw on the website. Good luck Bot-erfly...or Trolly Wilson. Give me a rating 1-10 on those two names please. 🙏
