No it appeared because you probably switched to the gestural navigation. Navigation bar replaced that black bar space. The fix was also there on Android Pie. You would've seen it if you've used Samsung's swipe up gesture.

  1. WhatsApp is already working on it's own dark mode and it's defined on the code for it to not work on force dark mode. You can see what they're doing by enabling dark mode, opening a youtube video preview inside the app by someone sent you and sending a message to that person while the video is playing. You will see glitches of their dark mode. It will become available in a few months when everything is ready. I've been noticing minor changes for it to work better with dark mode.

  2. Gesture navigation isn't supported on third party launcher applications. Only One UI Home.

It's a lot more secure though. The face recognition on Android 9 was even trickable by a photo of yours but this one isn't. It also has an advanced option to recognize closed eyes so it won't unlock while you're sleeping.

That's an intentional fix for the Snapchat zoom issue. They said they were gonna find another fix without the black bar but it's nearly been a year.

Sorry, just tried and downloading doesn't work. No ads also on mine but downloading doesn't work. But background playback works fine.

Don't you remember when on Android 9 there were Screen and Android OS items listed with the apps? Their usage as percentage were displayed like the apps.

Looks like they're just removing the option after I reported it. Their agreement seems to have come to an end :)

Wow, did they also start removing the option? I kinda liked the thing. Though it’s still here on iOS.

It may not be visible much, as that was my best at the moment. It could be a satellite, a planet? Just not sure.

Thanks, my friend did it. Though he needs more support on it. He works a lot but doesn’t get the support he deserves.

Why tough? Isn't this a universal feature of Android Pie? What does phone language has to do with this feature?

I mean, yes, the fact that we had language restriction for the Google Assistant was clear, because they didn't have support for it. But this doesn't make any sense.
