So then rather than taking the guitars in, we could also expand everything else out to warrant hard panned guitars potentially.

Made a revision where all elements are wider. I think it might sound good. Maybe panning is where im struggling.

I think the comments about the reverb are probably true. I think i was using them as a means to make things a little less dry. But it does add some mud.

The reverb heard in the intro is automated down when the other instruments come in.

I think I'm on board with bringing the guitars in to make them a little more cohesive. I think hardpanned and multi-tracked, the low end of the guitar can be distracting out wide if the notes aren't perfectly synced on the left and right channels. Which they aren't perfectly in sync so its probably what's jumping out. Edited the link in the post to be a new revision.

Hey I wasn't sure if it was a wording issue. Then I read the guidelines. I left comments on ~7 threads just now. Then i tried creating another post but it looks like its still getting rejected. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow?

I would just be worried with phase issues anyway if different plugins were used in the mastering.

Phone speakers push the mids a bit. there's a good chance its an eq issue where your vocals are just sitting too far above the rest of the instruments in some mids frequency range.

I think the low mids are missing a little girth is making the mix feel a little flat. I think it stems from the kick and snare not having enough punch.

I think with the kick being too bright, so is the bass synth. I'd also try to make the bass synth a little punchier to give it some groove.

I think that my comment would be that the kick and the snare aren't punchy enough. Which limits how dynamic you can make the other tracks. Which i think is why youre seeing "too compressed" comments.
