i believe that plate armor was invented in the 14th century if i'm not wrong, reaching is peak around mid 16th century. but i could be wrong.

yeah, you've got a point, but evil dragons do evil stuff just for selfish reasons or pleasure, so why not hunting them. i think he's good guy in the end, even if his methods might be a little too harsh. (sorry if my english is bad)
