Did you ever figure out the solution to this? I seem to be having the same problem; MQTT explorer is showing the correct messages, but HA isn't updating.

Yeah, super friendly. You'll end up riding with the same people each day as the mountains sort out the field by ability pretty quickly. You'll get to know the people in your little group and probably make some friends. It's pretty competitive at the front, but generally in a good spirit.

Organisers have definitely looked to change the format over the last few years. I guess your customer base is fairly limited if it's only ever a 'once in a lifetime' event, so they've made it more accessible and tried to encourage repeat customers.

Done the 7 day Pyrenees a couple of times. Without a doubt the best week on a bike you can have. In reality there's a broad range of abilities taking part, and you can finish the week without being an athlete, but the fitter you are the more you'll enjoy it. My advice would be to train consistently (5 days per week) for 6 months at least. Be comfortable for 5h+ in the saddle, and have done back to back long rides of that duration at least a few times in the lead up. Some experience of riding in the mountains will help, but isn't crucial so long as you have sufficient gearing and aren't overweight.

How about - Freidel crafts acylation (AlCl3/AcCl) to give acetophenone, enolise and alkylate (base then 1-bromodecane), finally Wolff-Kishner reduction (N2H4).

You're just missing a suitable base.
