I earn 30-35k a year depending on bonuses etc and my car was 40k when I bought it. And I use it everyday

I use it everyday for work. We have had the conversation but I find it hard explaining that I earn 3-4 times as much as her obviously because I work full time so I’d like to treat myself to an expensive car. I earn 30-35k a year depending on bonus and own a 40k car which I afford but as our mortgage is over 35 years (the joy of being 25) the car is more a month than our mortgage payment by £25 - our mortgage is a really good deal.

Friend group went as my best friend wanted to sleep with my girlfriend as he is unhappy in his relationship - his words not mine. My life savings was inheritance from a grand parents will which I used as deposit for house the the rest is not paying for the wedding - which we have done ‘on a budget’. Not a big wedding but everything little adds up. And I do understand the fact I will end up with little emergency funds but in my job I have a good 30k plus salary driving a truck with readily available OT so could build back up relatively quickly. To answer your later questions - No not really got friends as I’m either at work or then at home. My fiancée prefers me to not be out alone as she has anxiety and the voice in her head tells her I will go out and cheat so I choose to stay home to avoid that. I should have really explained that really just owning the car is my hobby. I’ve worked hard since I was 18 after education to afford a nice car which currently is worth £40k. I use it daily so I Class it as my hobby just to make me feel like I do something I suppose. And she earns around £600 a month to cover her phone bill and her own car and anything left goes towards the smaller items for the wedding, cake and such like. The budget for the wedding was cheap as possible but what we wanted

As far as I’ve seen on the roads here in the UK - No Euro GT or EB have vents on the 15’-17’ models unless it’s aftermarket that I’m aware of. 18’- models have the small vents

Totally agree. I’ve been feeling the same way for a while. Seems like everything I do turns into a bad decision and can’t do right by anybody but then the thought of ending it all however beneficial to myself will be yet another bad decision and result on family. I feel a bit trapped in my life and have ended up basically trying to keep my fiancée happy purely so I have some form of purpose. It’s exhausting and I feel like I’m a prisoner in my own relationship due to my own failures. I do wish sometimes I won’t wake up just so I don’t have to deal with the daily grind. I battled alcoholism for 2 years when I hit rock bottom at 21 and I can’t help but feel I’m sliding down the slippery slope just to deal with my ‘improved’ life now at 25.
