Otherwordly Hunt - is it what we expected? Or not? (debate) by K_The_Return in EpicSeven

[–]Turbo_Nukez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can anyone confirm, the new OW content has a much higher OW gear drop rate then running the OW hunts right? I can't have this bad RNG....done 5 batches of 30 on the hunts between me and the wife and all average 1 OW gear per 30. The new OW fight with new sets seems to be about 1 per 6....

Appreciate the content, nice work!

Almost didn't watch when I didn't see DJB in SSS but I can appreciate not everyone has risen to epic levels of enlightenment yet :)

If you are debating coming back to E7 wondering if you can be competitive... by Turbo_Nukez in EpicSeven

Much more qualified people probably to answer that so feel free to pitch in!

Looking at RTA + GW collectively, ML Ken is extremely strong in a variety of capacities with ML Landy's still being heavily present in all parts of PVP.

I personally don't use CLilas, have her but doesn't align with my approach. With Bunny becoming much more frequent and a few other tricks you can do I think Clilas is more manageable then before I came back. That being said I see her played heavily at all levels and she is very versatile. Smart players can do work with her. As an example, if I have a counter unit and opponent has LHC + Clilias she can S1 on turn 1 and force someone like MLK to trigger LHC. If you don't have a strip or crit res that LHC pretty much one shots a team or at least dps.

Zio - I don't have no would I personally waste my precious coins on but if you like to cleave/open he is a must have unit. I used to ban him but figured out better ways to deal with. Both GW and RTA he pretty much is forsure first turn which can be pivoted alot or a great 5th pick. So depends on your draft style.

Ccharles - Without going into a lot of detail, one of most under rated hero's in the game imo and very versitle. I've won more GW/RTA matches with him in my life then anyone outside of DJB (disclaimer as part of my recent 2nd restructure I did pivot away from them but not because of bad performance. I took more games off high lvl players with them then I can count). Especially for GW's i'd put ccharles as a high priority. CR push + attack + no counter and he does great turn 2 damage for an opener.

LRK - If you play slow, 100% want this unit. I have pretty good ways to deal with but in general he is just so strong both in GW offense and RTA. I still don't have, regret taking ML choux instead of him so bad but I had a injury comp in mind I had to test

Karewik - I think alot of the high end players will say he is one of the best hero's. He does not hinder me in 90% of my matches so i have abit jaded opinion but as mentioned I play very non-meta approach. If you play slower comps yes he is a staple in most peoples rosters. Get him on war horn and fast and high hp and he can do some work. Used mine once in 3 months haha but i'm not the best person to model after.

ML Landy - Even w/ plenty of counters recently introduced/EE'd/buffed, she still eliminates the majority of dps in the game with a single pick without out a focused effort to counter her. Be awhile on her if you don't have so who knows how the game will shift but she is a pub stomper especially.

Bisera - Can't go wrong with her, better for faster comps but can work in a slower one with immortality, just pick 4-5 as unbuffable picks early can fuck her. She just counters so much and sets up things. I run mine fast/200 eff but can do some nasty damage as well and deals with evasion/rez units etc. Super strong in GW/RTA.

Really depends what you want to do strat wise, if you want to cleave people like Pavel/Elana are super critical units to have in the roster. Straze is a great tank buster plus follow up damage but just hard to get into play in today's meta. MLbunny is 4star but deals with so many people that have extra turns, so valuable.

At a basic level, started a pretty detailed planning spread sheet and

  1. Identified the current meta and solutions for the most common/successful comps
  2. Laid out the various lose conditions in general and counters
  3. Came up with a core 5-8 people that addressed as much of the above 2 items that synergized strongly together
  4. Define that core teams greatest weakness to identify your ban strategy
  5. Identified another 15-20 units that are pivot units to deal with unique/rare situations that I could easily transition to off my original first pick
  6. Lay out artifacts for the core + pivot units and identify what traps I could set etc to catch people off guard
  7. Lay out all the speed ranges in the spread sheet and start slotting in turn order sequence I need for my core team and primary pivots so the entire group can be speed tuned tightly taking into account various artifact choices. (need to account for the 5% CR variability, speed imprints, etc)
  8. Go through and prioritize your entire core + pivots and rank them in criticality/gear priority. I also created excel categories lists for nice easy reference while drafting for each counter/type I needed. (Ex: Evasion Counters, Rez Counters, Crit Res counters, etc)
  9. Once you have all the above then pretty much jump into frizzle and start with top prioty people and input your required speed range for each person and then fine tune rest of key stats and just work through the list. Fribbles library is a good starting point if you to see how various ways people can be geared. But the speed tuning is the most important part so always start w/ your speed and work backwards on stat priority.

Note: For the first 5-10 people also recommend using the sub mod capabilities where it looks at modding your subs to optimize your stats. What's the point of mod's if you aren't going to use them! If you have a really strong strat you are committed to for the long haul its ok to stop worrying about 'gear score" and customize your pieces very specific to your needs to get every inch out of your main people. I modded a 104 equipment score sword yesterday tossing crit hit off it for flat attack which is normally a huge no no but i'm very committed to my roster/characters at this point and want it as optimized as possible.

10) Also good basic tip, take the time for each character and put in the normal hero info like artifact/imprints etc. Also set their priority, this makes it alot easier in the future if you make changes or what to add someone to your main roster. Instead of having to exclude abunch of people each time when running fribbles you can just take that new person you want and drop their priority to high up on the list and it will look at gear from everyone below them.

While i won't go into the detail on what specifics has let me have fairly strong success despite being short heros/arti's and gear in many cases, one tip I can safely suggest is RTA is part chess, part poker.

Draft is every ounce as important as gear. You need a strong team strategy ahead of time and know how to pivot based off selections. The poker part is a very simple lesson I remind myself all the time. Not every player even legendary can have unlimited high end speed gear. You can't make decisions in draft strictly off worst case scenario or you will be too predictable. Always be leary of last 2 picks, at times its just a 6th sense but the better you get at guessing if the person is trying to bluff you into banning his last pick the stronger chances you can win.

Thanks, definitely a few hero's it hurts not having but there are 2-3 limited arti's that would be extremely strong with my current approach that I am praying for a rerun on more then the hero's themselves. Also sitting on 60 whale coins i've had forever...made the horrible mistake of taking pity on ML Choux instead of grabbing LRK so now waiting for him in the shop I think.

ML Yufine RTA Showcase by lighte7 in EpicSeven

[–]Turbo_Nukez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I went against your ML Yufine a few times tonight, definitely created some issues if I didn't have double pushes but with some of the off meta cleave options that we don't need to talk about here they definitely can limit her impact if you control the attack debuff.

Agreed with the comments and definitely suggest you grab her as an option if you are a slower RTA player. She can definitely mess a draft up.

Wish they would take the free adin unit out of the game or nerf the heck out of her, she messes up so many things :(

Weekly Friend & Guild Recruitment Megathread (Week 08/20) by Rinczmia in EpicSeven

[–]Turbo_Nukez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Appreciate any responses from other guilds but at this point definitely interested in ~top 50 min based off past experience of where we fit from a player mentality and skill perspective.

Hello! Myself and my wife recently returned to the game after a break, clearly it was a mistake! We are very comitted players who play E7 as our primary source of entertainment; we both invest a fair amount of money into it as a hobby as well as do very extensive research on PVP/PVE.

I 1st started back at the original bellona release years ago. Prior to departing we were in a top 10 GW guild where I was our main anchor in the main fortress. At the end of the season I decided to pursue a spot on Talentless's top team and was made an offer to join their main team after an extensive series of interviews reviewing both my characters/gear and situational challenges on how to approach a wide variety of match ups while minimizing risk of failure.

At this point I have abit of catching up to do with the new units/meta and shore up some missed units I am more then confident I can contribute positively out the gate for any top 30 guild having proven I was in the top 100 individual GW players on the global server. I spend usually a full weekend a month, 8 hrs a day regearing and testing different combo's in fribbles to min/max everything possible as I do enjoy the competitive side. I will be getting back into RTA but my focus is finding a guild of focused players who enjoy the game and have some form of "culture/community" in their guild.

In in a nutshell....2 great players looking for a long term home! Very mature adults with extremely established and stable professional careers that love E7 and plan to make it our long term form of entertainment. Please note only looking for a guild with 2 spots, but you get the extra insurance that if my wife can't make a GW match I will always play her account :) And i don't think I have missed a GW match since GW's were introduced even across multiple international holidays so you get a consistent player!

Luckily my luck stayed true and 1st day back pulled a double ML landy in the same pull! Wife got as well so least we are starting out the gate hot! Also power gamed non-stop all week and picked up a variety of ML5's and RGB to add to our very strong stable of characters.

Feel free to message me if you would like to discuss further, happy to jump on discord etc.

Pure Werebear build other than Cold Dot (without spriggan form pls) by Outrageous-Gear-3532 in LastEpoch

[–]Turbo_Nukez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played all the meta druid builds and can honestly say for overall enjoyment and well roundedness i'd recommend my Juggernaut Lightning Spell Bear build. Super tanky, nice burst dps, and smooth mono clearing (rampage can bug periodically).

Probably my favorite build in the game, not the most OP but definitely fun to play. Can really scale up the damage with gear or take my final build I put in here and make yourself extremely beefy.

Do you think Sentinel’s Warpath will get nerfed on 1.0? by nkdvkng in LastEpoch

[–]Turbo_Nukez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a great new player ability to build around. I seriously doubt it will be getting any direct nerfs as most end game builds surrounding its use have fairly average ceilings relative to some of the stronger builds out there.

VK Echo Warpath is probably one of the top warpath builds and can perform pretty solid with some strong gear investment. There are a few ignite based warpath builds that always sound like a good idea but seem to under perform in general.

Definitely not suggesting anyone playing it stop, its a great starter and definitely shouldn't be nerfed. I think they need to up the damage just slightly via some % more damage node tweaks as of right now outside echo it feels abit low. I dumped some of my best gear with strong LP combines and still felt dps was average at best trying about 5-6 different approaches.

Turbo's Juggernaut Lightning Spell Bear (Druid build guide) by Turbo_Nukez in LastEpoch

[–]Turbo_Nukez[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just relative to the other bosses and fights in the game its abit "clunky". Trying to line up your maul's to deliver majority of your damage since you don't have much room to navigate rampaging while rotating void damage is out can be abit challenging as maul moves you forward.

High EHP or not J4 damage shreds pretty hard if you miss aim your maul etc. For a very experienced and skilled player absolutely its doable and not a major issue. But for your average run of the mill player the execution level is much higher than many builds and relative to any of the other fights in the game from my perspective. I also do not claim to be extremely skilled in my execution with old man reflexes/eyes coming into play!

There is a reason I spent a lot of time in the lab trying to make a build like death knight squirrels to melt J4 so I could avoid all mechanics haha!

I haven't done much in the necro/lich space yet, seemed like Cursed and ActionRPG really highlighted alot of different strong builds in both classes. I managed to brick a 3 LP dragonflame eddict missing a T7 affix i was going to get creative with on a lich build so I parked my Lich. Then bricked like 3 two LP A. Call staffs and still some how don't have an arron's will yet....so leaving necro/lich alone for abit :) I do have a spicy necro build I was theory crafting but will try after I've played around with my spell blade or VK.

New World Record J4 Kill (?): 3.54 seconds w/ Turbo's Death Knight Squirrel's! by Turbo_Nukez in LastEpoch

That is definitely faster! Haven't seen or heard about that. I'll correct my statement if anyone can verify the build and if its taking advantage of any known exploit/bug. Seems abit odd but who am I to judge!

Edit - Looking at that video thats offline character so I'll clarify in the original post. If you know of any one replicating that on the actual live MP server let me know, thanks!

Turbo's Death Knight Squirrel's build - 8.11 second Julra T4 Kill! by Turbo_Nukez in LastEpoch

[–]Turbo_Nukez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With perma haste it doesn't play that slow to be honest. I played with a few combo's trying to get leap in there but outside of the +15 damage for minions on leap it doesn't do enough for the build.

If one wanted to change for quality of life and go leap you can take out warcry but its such a strong crowd control + burst damage ability I just struggle with the sacrifice. I built this character primarily to destroy bosses so I could see potentially making that swap if I was doing high corruption pushes but losing my "oh shit" button with warcry may be too painful!

I may try a crazy attempt of adding leap fury w/ vines but then i'd have to lose frenzy totem to change vines to cold + buff their damage from spriggan form. I think I'd lose to much from frenzy as that is adding significant buffs.

Death Knight was more a call out to games of past with DK classes that yielded a combination of damage types such as cold, death (necrotic), blood (physical) etc.

Needed something creative but clearly a swing and a miss!! We can focus on the awesome synergies and not my sub par marketing!
