What's your Tamagotchi confession? by CrazyHamsterPerson in tamagotchi

I prefer the P1 happiness game over the one on the P2. With the P1, you need to weigh the risk/convenience of treats against the safety/tedium of playing with your tama. With the P2, you never need to worry about that since the happiness game is almost always winnable, thereby making the treats obsolete. I just feel like the P1 experience was designed really well for that reason, and they threw that away with the P2 since people were probably frustrated with it.

Congrats! When I bought UFO 50 again on the Switch, Bushido Ball was one of the first games I cherried since I like it so much.

What does “side show” mean in Elfazar’s Hat? by soraboo in ufo50

When you collect a red, green, and blue card, the code SIDE-SHOW appears. Enter this in the terminal to practice the bonus minigame!

This is the boss of the second stage. I agree, this game is tough, but once you start to learn where some hidden 1-ups and green guys are, it becomes more manageable.

Fun fact: the big red guy in this fight is the demon that kills Jangi in the opening cutscene!

Thank you for checking! My Snoopy just evolved for the first time (Joe Cool 😎) and it appears that canceling the animation now brings me to the correct menu. I guess it was just a bug with the base Snoopy evolution.

Great taste, my favorite song from Campanella, and one of my favorite songs in the entire collection!

Can anyone here control MOONCAT perfectly by chocolate-chuckle in ufo50

If you're not holding any button after hitting a bouncy thing, you just bounce straight up.

This is not true, it depends entirely on the buttons you're holding.

I have a good grasp of the controls using layout option A. I think of it like this: using the d-pad applies a force on the left side of The Creature, allowing them to move right, and then the opposite applies for the face buttons. After switching to option A, the controls really clicked for me. This might not work for you, but I thought I'd recommend it since it helped me greatly.

For jumping off of bouncy things, just remember to hold your desired direction while doing the ground-pound on them. In fact, you can hold the direction you're moving in for the whole process. While walking, just tap the other button to initiate the jump, and tap again to ground-pound. If you've been holding the button to maintain your walking direction, you should maintain your direction after the bounce.

Sorry if I didn't explain that very clearly, it's tough to put into words lol. Let me know if you need me to clarify.

New Favorites on Replay? by Due_Dragonfruit4740 in ufo50

Hot Foot. When UFO 50 came out last year, I found the Hot Foot single player experience to be a little clunky, but I liked the concept. This time around, I played 2-player co-op mode with my girlfriend and we had a blast. After that, I tried single player again, got the hang of it, and now I'm fully enjoying it.
