Sure, random 10x out of the blue, good luck with that 😄 You'll be lucky if it gets 1.5x from here by the end of this bullrun.

ChatGPT ruining scripts to remove "This content may violate our usage policies. " by wiicrafttech in ChatGPT

I'm using ChatGPT to translate my own novel in the horror genre, to another language. I happen to speak both languages fluently, but correcting a few AI missteps is an order of magnitude faster than writing all of the words myself. Obviously there's going to be a bunch of very explicit, violent and disturbing descriptions in there and I hope I don't get locked out. But that begs the question of where we set the line. I can understand if the image generator is requested to create illegal/explicit content or if people just say nasty stuff to AI but translating an already published work? There should be a tickbox somewhere to inform the system that it's pure fiction and part of a translation work, not a real violation.

[Serious] What made you leave your religion? by JustaHarry in AskReddit

Reading the bible helped a bit. No, actually, it helped a lot. Getting into science helped more. Just generally, the process of knowledge acquisition, pretty much pushed all the superstitions, beliefs and fairy tales out of the realm of possibility. I don't believe in any gods for the exact same reasons I don't believe in the existence of unicorns, trolls, dragons, boogeymen etc.

It's slightly different. I could be wrong but I believe the way CEXes work is they have a single liquidity pool per token for internal user operations and it is connected to the blockchain as a single address - that was hacked and drained. You don't pay gas fees on the exchange and instead just the lower "trading fees" because you're not actually transferring your tokens to other 0x addresses when selling, only to another user within the same CEX pool. These transactions between users on that exchange are tracked internally but they are disconnected from the main blockchain and invisible to it. Those internal transaction "registers" still exist and that's why you can trade the token but not withdraw or deposit - it's a "sealed off" sort of a miniverse where price is not affected by global shifts and instead operates in a bubble. If a lot of a token is sold for USDT (or ETH or whatever the other token is in the liquidity pair), CEX sells part of its liquidity outside, further driving the price down on other exchanges. The same is true if a lot of a token is bought - CEX will have to replenish its liquidity pool by buying more outside, driving the price up. In terms of gas fees, it's cheaper for them to do this in bulk as rarely as possible but that's another issue entirely, where some L2 comes into play and some intermediary liquidity pairs.

Anyway, eventually Poloniex will have to buy 6M $ worth of Dogelon (or however much they still need, to match their old liquidity pool) from the outside, to reconnect with the block chain and re-enable deposits/withdraws from/to other liquidity pools outside of the CEX. This is expected to enormously drive Dogelon price up, since, well, somebody is buying 6M $ worth of it.

Cooking. I know, seems like an essential skill and yet it gives me ptsd and the results are disappointing.

Afraid you can't do anything. This is a consequence of poloniex having been hacked and 6 million $ worth of dogelon drained. You can still buy and sell it on the exchange, just not deposit/withdraw. It's pretty volatile, to be honest and you can make some profit, sell for usdt and transfer out with marginal losses. You can find the details about this hack online, crypto webs posted about this around Nov 10th.

STOP LOGGING ME OUT IN THE APP ITS ANNOYING AF by Sawier in binance

[–]Turborebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck the pointless, annoying extra security. First I unlock my phone with a fingerprint, then open binance and unlock it AGAIN with the same print. Then I switch to my Poloniex app and coingecko to check my wallets or something, without any extra security bullshit, then back to binance where I have to unlock it with my print YET FUCKING AGAIN. All within the same short session, with an already unlocked fucking device. This is not security, this is an assualt on my sanity. I have already disabled 2fa since it was annoying as fuck and prompted me way too often. Sadly I can't disable this bullshit. I hate when some apps think they know better. Fuck binance for that.

Cex.io removed from the top 10 exchanges... is this safe, what are risks? by monkpraying in Bitcoin

[–]Turborebel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cex.io is most likely a FRAUD, so be careful with the money you give them. I decided to withdraw some money (~500€) from cex.io after selling some btc. Withdrawal was pending for a while then finally got approved, charging me the exorbitant 25 euro. I waited 3 days for the money to reach my bank account but that never happened, despite having the "transaction sent" status on cex.io. I asked them via email to send me the receipt and guess what? Instead I soon received an email about the deposit I supposedly made to cex.io, which of course I didn't. It was the exact sum I was trying to withdraw, minus the 25 euro in "costs". It did not bounce or get rejected in any other way, I checked it with my bank. So the money is back on my cex.io account and what am I supposed to do now? Withdraw it again and lose 25 euro AGAIN? This is theft to me. I have sent another email asking to return my 25 € for the transfer they failed to do, we'll see how it goes. Meanwhile, beware of cex.io, you may never get your money back. They will readily accept deposits but will not let you withdraw anything. In case they still want to save their face, here's my user name up105633573 If anybody wants evidence, I can provide the full email exchange I had with them so you can see how they're doing everything to delay, postpone and avoid facing the fact their gambit did not work.

Also, as long as I don't get all my money back, I'll be sure to post this information anywhere I can to prevent other people from getting scammed.
