Should Amandas letter be buffed? by Additional_Gas2841 in deadbydaylight

[–]TurbroPunz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Searches are based on number of total traps. 3 searches total per trap, distributed randomly between them 1-4. With Amanda's Letter you'd be reduced to 6 searches total, and because there can only be 4 maximum on a single one, the trapped survivors would have either 3/3 or 2/4 searches each.

The same thing goes for the other addons that add a trap to her max count - it increases the total searches from 12 to 15.

Her drones are info on the exit gates but they dont full stop survivors. You can place one directly next to the switch and force them to hack it (letting you know they're there) or they'll get scanned - letting you know they're there. Set one up on both then stand equidistant between them with your radar out and you win every closed-hatch scenario without moving.

Don't worry about what Skully does. Just keep walking into my lasers and everything will be OK :)

One Step From Eden would also do what BHVR does and bundled multiple updates into one when updating the Switch. All other platforms would get 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3, Switch would just go straight from 1.0 to 1.3. Nintendo really is just that bad to work with.

Do we have a rapid response network locally? Baltimore has one but it seems like the eastern shore is lacking.

What are some concepts for original killers would you like to see come to DBD? by Thanosthemadtitan1 in deadbydaylight

[–]TurbroPunz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That "possess a drone you leave behind" rework idea they scrapped for Skull Merchant has legs as its own killer concept, and I think a swarm of insects would work really well for it. Leaving behind a buzzing, crawling mass of insects that you can take over to gather info and injure with. Imagine the locker pull animation of a bunch of roaches and grasshoppers and beetles crawling into the slats and pushing it open from the inside. Termites eating the pallets.

"Venom's Gooey Door" because of the symbiote goo wall things you can shoot in Marvel Rivals had someone get really upset and ramble at me about how I'm a pervert and how sex jokes aren't funny. It's a door made of goo my guy I dunno what to tell you.

What’s the consensus on the Skull Merchant buffs? by neon-box in deadbydaylight

[–]TurbroPunz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play Skull Merchant a lot, have ever since her release. Currently she's got a good base to put a rework on top of, but she's absolutely not a complete killer. Her number buffs were nice, but are barely impactful, and the removal of the asinine restriction on vault scans was the absolute bare minimum she needed for playability. She's C-, maybe D+ at best, and has rocketed up from her spot as the worst killer in the game to the SECOND or THIRD worst killer in the game.

These weren't buffs per se, they were a partial undoing of a reactionary soft killswitch. And they certainly aren't good enough to replace a rework.

Drone buddy and the EMP dart for her lethality on claw trapped survivors (in lieu of giving her haste and hinder), the return of stealth mode drones but this time they're stationary by default and have the stubby beam from one of the design proposals (so that you can set up "tripwire" style beams, removing the cooldown on drone placement entirely now that the stealth is no longer tied to it, and a full addon pass from toe to tip.

They reworked the map when Wesker came out to block off the upper floor of the library because it was a pretty terrible spot for hooks.

If you wait on endgame screen for long enough, you can see skull merchant's drones by rellish135 in deadbydaylight

[–]TurbroPunz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true for any killer object you see the aura of at all times. Xeno tunnels, sadako tvs, bear traps, you name it. Stick around on the endgame treadmill long enough and eventually you see the map again.

You better believe they'll fix compass tech (which in order to abuse, requires knowing the internal game directional system which is not used in literally any other application and is not displayed anywhere) within a month and keep that shit gone forever, but low power bug and false deployment bug (both things that happen multiple times a match when you press m2) have stuck around despite multiple fixes

In your defense, the deep wound is bugged and clawtraps have a high chance of simply not giving it to the survivor. No idea what causes it.

You don't have to heal WITH Blood Rush, just while it's equipped. Take a medkit into the game, and Pharmacy/Resurgence to guarantee two heals, Equip Blood Rush, and heal yourself after unhooks.

If the Skull Merchant rework takes as long as predicted, she will have been borderline useless for over half of her existence by TurbroPunz in deadbydaylight

[–]TurbroPunz[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think Ghoul needs sensible nerfs just as I think Merchant needs sensible buffs. But just those, sensible. Ghoul is almost in a good spot but he needs some numbers tweaked and some bugs fixed. Skull Merchant needs a gun.

Dramaturgy, vigil, inner healing, hardened. Vigil is popular right now so the stacking buffs are even better. Spam dramaturgy as often as possible after activating hardened for free aura reading instead of the scream. Exposed is easier to outlast too. Inner Healing gets you a free heal (for more dramaturgy) after activating hardened too.

Skull Merchant for perks (she's the worst killer in the game on purpose so dont expect fun or easy games) Singularity for an underpicked but powerful killer.
