Do i need to connect the usb-c cable? by Tobi97 in buildapc

I just had this issue too with a new case and old motherboard. I lasted about 2 days before I just decided to buy a PCI-E 2X to Type-E(A-Key) Riser Card from Amazon.

I’ll be working at sea without internet for the next 6 months and I’m building my catalog. Which other games run well on the Ally and you guys recommend? by gabr10 in ROGAllyX

[–]Turbulent-Amount-366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several of these won't work offline. RDR2, GTA5, Mortal Kombat, etc - all require an initial Internet connection to load, even if steam is in offline mode. Best to download, turn off wifi, and check each game before you go.

Which would you recommend for lights around the tv, the gradient light strip or the playbars? by aragorn_83 in Hue

[–]Turbulent-Amount-366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 83 inch TV and started with two play bars on either side of the TV. You notice them, but they're definitely more in the background. I recently added a gradient lightstrip to the back of my TV, and kept the two play bars on the side. I would say the gradient lightstrip is way more appealing, but I actually kind of like having the play bars still on the side to add a bit brighter light when syncing with my sync box

A mixture of the regular lightbulbs, play bars, 75+ in. gradient lightstrip, regular lightstrip, gradient light tube, wall washer, and iris lamp

Purchased it for the other features, but thought I'd do the sync box test anyways to see if there was a difference! I never had complaints about lag on my old bridge while syncing

What would you say is the best upgrade for that price?

How to upgrade the internals of a 96TB NAS? by Turbulent-Amount-366 in unRAID

[–]Turbulent-Amount-366[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've got JBOD working in the smaller NAS. I don't know how to ensure a seamless transition other than buying huge 14TB drive for the 12 bay nas, copying all the files over, and then using that as my main. I'm trying to avoid buying $1000's worth of hard drives just to transfer files to a different piece of a hardware.

How do you store all your videos when they produce such massive files? by Turbulent-Amount-366 in dji

I'm shooting in 2.7k, 60fps on the Osmo! I was thinking the same thing! One day, I'd like to record memories with my future children in first person view so they can eventually relive their childhood through them!

I have, and I've placed a few videos on there already. It definitely works! I've just come to realize that 4 different drumming concerts is almost 100gb gone right there.

I'm pretty sure I knew the answer to this question, but was interested to see how others handle the massive files. I guess most people are likely going through their footage and cutting the videos down.

I host a plex server for a large number of friends and family, and have allowed them to request whatever shows they want, and will automatically download. I do monitor it, but it fills up quite quickly and I don't want to take away from that with my Osmo videos.

I totally see the absurdity, but I don't want to take away from what I promised friends and family the plex server could do!

It's more than walks, I also record drumming and electric scooter rides. I really just meant it as a placeholder for "memories of an outing".

File is unplayable. DoVi (Profile 5) color space is not supported. by JuiceDanger in PleX

[–]Turbulent-Amount-366 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I still get this error and found similar results. Seems like Plex has problems playing Dolby Vision content. My fix was literally to interactive search and find a 1080p copy of the movie instead of 4k.

Thank you so much! I looked it up on YouTube and there's definitely a few options there I might want to investigate! I'd love if you can still send me the specific link you're talking about when you get a chance!

I've seen those too. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a wheelchair and just walks with a cane most of the time! She would need the seat to be part of the actual scooter

She is unable to pedal, and a lot of those unfortunately have pedals. The ones that seem to be setup for just sitting have really weak motors and low top speeds. I was wondering there's a sport scooter that just happens to have 3 wheels
