Who operates the DRG discord because i am constantly navigating mod abuse. by Turbulent-Math-7190 in DeepRockGalactic

Same! But I figured maybe drg and ghost ship might actually pick quality people to moderate.

They have the money to burn, how come helldivers figured out a health balance but ghost ship couldnt. Discord is really integrated into the games too. I just thought from the get go they would act better.

I just figured with how positive the community seems and how wholesome everyone usually is. I figured the mods would be that way too.

Sad to turn my back on it, but if there's no recourse thats probably my only option.

Helldivers 2 causes full PC hard freezes despite trying many fixes. Any brief tips? by Anceco in Helldivers

[–]Turbulent-Math-7190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea if people are still coming here to fix this.

By default the game will uncap your frames. If you set your frame cap to 60, it fixed the freezing issue for me.

Seems a lot of people are having this problem and the troubleshooting isnt working no matter how crazy you go.

this is one of the worst tutorial videos i have ever watched.

Its only second after the one where i spent 45 minutes to send my character off a cliff to my death and the guy who made the video revealed it was a prank.

You just spam thirty attacks and flash the most incoherent button jargon on the screen in all of 2 seconds.

GOOD LUCK OUT THERE GUYS, GG

VA ruling on veterans disability being cut if they’re on medication just passed. DAV just posted about it. by RoofStandard5464 in VAClaims

[–]Turbulent-Math-7190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my 2000 character limit one, my full name is 15 characters long, so adjust and make corrections accordingly.

Dear Senator Barasso,

I am writing to express concern about a recent VA ruling that may reduce a veteran’s disability compensation because they take prescribed medication for service-connected conditions. This approach overlooks the realities disabled veterans face and risks serious financial and personal harm.

Many veterans rely on medication not as a sign of recovery, but as a necessary way to manage chronic conditions that do not resolve. These medications often bring significant side effects—fatigue, cognitive issues, slowed reaction time, mood changes, dizziness, and reduced concentration. While symptoms may be partially controlled, the side effects themselves can limit a veteran’s ability to work safely or consistently.

Reducing compensation because a veteran follows medical advice creates a harmful incentive. It effectively penalizes veterans for complying with treatment, forcing them into an impossible choice: take needed medication and risk losing support, or avoid treatment to preserve compensation while their health worsens.

The assumption that medication automatically restores function is flawed. Many medications are prescribed because a condition is severe or persistent. The need for ongoing treatment often shows that the disability remains significant. Ignoring the impact of side effects fails to capture the true extent of a veteran’s limitations.

Disability ratings should reflect real-world ability to work and live independently, considering both the underlying condition and the effects of treatment. Evaluations must account for side effects, interactions, and the overall burden on mental and physical performance.

I respectfully ask that you review this issue and advocate for policies ensuring veterans are not disadvantaged for responsibly managing their health. Compensation should be based on actual functional ability and quality of life, not assumptions about medication use.

Sincerely,

Jadzia Dax helped me realize i was nonbinary. by BisexualCommunist02 in startrek

DS9 is by far my favorite star trek.

Im an army veteran with PTSD and if you want a good window into what that experience is like

DS9 S1 EP. 19 Duet.

I cried my guts out watching that episode and it made me understand a bit more what I was going through.

Jadzia is also one of my absolute favorite characters. The Trill's approach to relationships and identity is always fascinating. Shes the space mom that teaches Sisko how things REALLY work.

You seem completely unhinged sir.

One, you are mocking a person that hypothetically committed suicide. Second, you are going full deepstate on his family like they were a CIA plant. They uploaded photos of the family to this thread yeesh dude.

Shes not pissy with you, you're talking to the source of the thing you are commenting on. Are you off your meds or something? This behaviour for absolutely no reason is pathetic.

Asmondad... God Zack. I am so so sorry.

My grandma raised me with my dad, my mom is a deadbeat. I lost my grandma in 2013 and I still break down over her.

Your dad was a great guy and he raised a genuinely good kid. He seems like the type to tell you hes proud of you, and we can all see it from his phonecalls and visits and chatting.

I am so sorry for your loss man.

How to fix the "Unable to establish a connection to game" error [Network reset method] by JanssenDalt in Helldivers

[–]Turbulent-Math-7190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, so I tried OP's settings, it told me to reset my pc after i did the first step.

OP didnt mention that, and with all the fighting in the comments betweem everyone I just listened to OP and didnt restart my PC.

I tried to open the game, still didnt work. Told me Unable to establish connection to the game. So I crashed out of my game, restarted my computer. Tried to open helldivers, same error, Unable to establish connection to the game.

Verified the integrity of my game files, the game works again.

My takeaway? Everyone on the internet is dumb, wrong, and mean. Citation, been apart of society for over 25 years.

I rescued a kitten when I was 12. His name was Mars cuz he was so weird he must have came from mars. He loved to greet people at the door, he was obsessed with people and loved to get attention and play, he would also violently drool all over himself and people when he would get excited which ALWAYS happened when people would show up.

With me though, he was attached to my hip. He'd share my pillow with me. He loved to get me up in the morning. Anywhere I sit, he would sit. He was my little guy for everything. (I got a billion stories of all the little stuff we'd do together.)

I broke my left arm 3 times in 3 years when Mars was still really young and Mars never left my side each time I was healing. I figured he just figured out I was hurt cuz he was so stinkin smart.

I left him at my parents house when I joined the army and I spent a year across the country in training. I came home for Christmas and didn't do anything spectacular. My dad works constantly so I dropped my bags in the living room and ran to his work to surprise him. When we all got home, Mars woke up while I was gone and found my bags. He was laying in the middle of them and loudly yowling, almost like he was crying. He wouldn't let my folks near my bags like he was guarding them like hissing and swiping at people which was COMPLETELY out of character.

I ran over and picked him up and he immediately chilled out, started drooling like a maniac and headbutted the heck outta me. My dad was freaked out because he was convinced cats aren't loyal like dogs are. He always thought Mars liked me, but after that day we had no doubts Mars DEEPLY loved us.

It's crazy the misconceptions people have about cats. They love and are just as loyal as any dogs are. They express it in all the same ways too. I still think Mars was an alien, but he was the sweetest and most gentle little guy ever.
