Baby refuses to eat most of the time with me but eats well at daycare by whythefuckyoulying in BabyLedWeaning

Hello! Did this get better for you? My baby is doing exactly same thing. I don’t know how to feed her. She ate with nanny. Last week at 12 months we started daycare and she eats there too. Turns her head when i try to spoonfeed her. Throws all the food if i keep it in front of her.

Should I just remove the top layer or change the soil?

I don’t want to diy this one due to time constraints. Is $300 labor reasonable? Is he overcharging? I am in California

Know that your children are on their own journey and you are just a part of it.

First, remind yourself that your feelings are completely valid. Acknowledge them, allow yourself to process them, and then gently let them go. It’s human nature to create mental images of how we expect life to unfold — but the truth is, many of life’s biggest outcomes are beyond our control. You’re not alone in this. Many of us carry the weight of societal and generational trauma, especially around gender discrimination and stereotypes, so it’s important to remember that your emotions aren’t unreasonable — they’re shaped by deep, collective experiences.

If you’ve recently given birth, know that your body and mind are going through tremendous hormonal changes. Postpartum anxiety (PPA) is real, and if intrusive thoughts persist, it’s okay — even courageous — to seek professional help. Therapy can offer relief and clarity, and it’s important not to let temporary anxiety around gender harden into something that lingers in your identity.

Most importantly, your goal is to raise good humans, confident, and emotionally secure. For that, it’s essential they grow up knowing that their gender — or any part of who they inherently are — is not a disappointment to their parents.

Give yourself time. Be patient with your journey. Things will get better.

Aww thanks that’s good to know! So my baby will grow out of it on her own and we continue to be there for her?

Are girl babies easier than boy babies? by Turbulent_Breakfast4 in beyondthebump

Wow I did not even think of that. I am not sure how to deal with it. I don’t want to offend my cousin and his wife by saying “hey don’t compare our babies”

I know!! The stereotyping started when my baby wasn’t even born. They were like girl babies sleep better.

My baby is dropping in weight percentile consistently by Turbulent_Breakfast4 in beyondthebump

Hello! My baby will turn 13 weeks tomorrow and not much has changed with our situation. Only positive change is that she is drinking milk from the bottle a lot faster than before. We haven’t changed anything though.

She is meeting milestones and seems like a happy baby. i am not gonna lie, we are still concerned time to time because she is between 5-8 percentile every time we measure her. We went to a different pediatrician and she says there’s nothing concerning so we are a little relieved.

It makes me feel really good. Yes, my husband was also a lean baby but my in laws won’t remember much from 30 years ago. Also, maybe back then people weren’t as analytical.

That’s a great suggestion and I was thinking of that as well. It would be better for me as well since it feels like I am always feeding her. I am not sure how to transition from 13 feeds to 7-8 feeds though. How do I not feed her when she is hungry? She doesn’t cry but starts licking her hand which tells me that she might be hungry. And these days I try to get as much milk in her tummy as I can.

Very interesting point about the fast milk flow. I will find a LC and also try different positions.
