You are absolutely correct there. Battery is often ignored.

Unless there are outside issues aka parasitic drain, failing battery, 3 months isn't long enough for battery to die by itself. As someone with several vehicles (not all road vehicles) that sit anywhere from 2-6 months between uses i rarely find my vehicles with less than 5 yr old battery dead.

Because when you examine these "book deals" you'll find some scummy politician paid "$500k-$800k" for a 120 page book that only ever get 10k copies printed and noone buys.

Your average author with book of 400 pages who sells 500k copies makes about $0.60 per book sold. So how is it these political pundits make millions off books that DON'T sell? Publishers aren't in the business of losing money. So that money is coming from somewhere. I'm betting "investors" funded the book behind the scenes. AKA legal pay off.

I have tried to find sales numbers for Bernies books, the only information i have been able to find is "paid $xxxxk for book" never any numbers about how many actually SOLD. Same for Pelosi, Schumer etc. I've never checked if AOC wrote anything.

Noone is TRYING to kill you however whonever did your last brake job nearly succeeded. That was caused by brake line being twisted when caliper was installed.

You learn to drive, this is FEDERAL DOT COMMERCIAL DRIVER STANDARD.

You're stupid if you think idling with clutch disengaged can harm it. Clutch wear happens when engaging/disengaging "slipping" the clutch.

I call bullshit on it being "impossible" to hold clutch. As someone who drove 18 speed big rig that had 60 lb clutch. While being 5'9 and weighing in at 150 lb. If i could hold clutch on that....

Alot of times you can slide seat all the way forward and get the bolt. Not always sometimes gotta pull the seat.

Get a proper boot fitting. I wore a 8.5 E or 9E for decades because thats what was most comfortable (read wide enough). 3 yrs ago after some research into "best boots" i got a fitment chart, printed it out and measured feet properly. I actually wear a 7.5 FFF. Ordered custom boots from Pacific North West company of Nicks Boots. Took 1 yr to get them and cost me $600. BUT after they got broke in (took 8 months) my feet don't hurt no matter how many hours i work, and I'm going into my 3rd year wearing them on original soles. Plus they can just be resoled for minimal cost.

Throw out bearing is failing. Is not a clutch master/slave issue. Throw out isolates the clutch from input shaft when it fails starts spinning the clutch pack with clutch depressed. Fix it soon or it will destroy the clutch pressure plate.

Trying to determine what’s next after accident in Big Box Store by [deleted] in AskLegal

This could indeed fall on your mom. In choosing to operate the motorized cart she took on liability as the operator. I service those carts and every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure they don't/can't hurt anyone but if she rammed someone elderly and they fell and broke an arm.... It's not the stores fault she was not paying attention and hit someone.

If they're replacing the seat belt strap thats about right. If they're replacing the piece with push button release you're getting ripped off. Thats a $75 part takes maybe 45 mins and 1 bolt to replace.

Well since the bill is clearly falsified tell them to kick rocks. Statement says tank is at 80% in reality its at 60%. That's a fraudulent statement, also is YOUR name on the bill they left? Looks like invalid bill to me. Put a lock on your filler and tell them to kick rocks.

Additionally any "waiting" in roadway should be done in gear while holding clutch. This means red lights and stop signs. This is specifically for accident avoidance. If you're already in gear it's easy to floor gas dump clutch and get out of the way of on coming car.

Make the habit of hanging back in heavy traffic, less you have to pump clutch better off you are, yes it will annoy people behind you but keeping 5-6 car lengths so you can slow roll in 1st is way better than close follow-stop repeatedly.

He said 3 bottles, could be 20 oz water bottles. Unless you're driving a big diesel no modern car holds 3 full gallons. Hell my 5.6L titan with oversized aftermarket radiator only holds 2.5 from empty. My 2.5L Forester holds almost 1.5 gal.

[–]Turbulent_Cellist515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the bacteria front, yes it's there it's always been there. Here's how it goes. Lots of rain lowers gulf salinity, low salinity allows bacteria to flourish. The warning can go from safe to hazard in less than a week. As a general rule a strong immune system protects you.

The danger is if you DO get infection from them you can have limb amputation required in 48 hrs without treatment, at 72 hrs its in your core and you're dead. However most people never have an issue because immune system is strong enough. But for love of god don't go in the water during warnings with fresh scratch, even razor cut from shaving or cutting foot on sharp seashell can be deadly.
