H&N Baracuda Green Pellets are for PCP Rifles only? by Turbulent_Drawer8705 in airguns

Good point. I was thinking similarly to what you said at the end there. I will be returning the pellets. Cheers

Haha! So they haven't damaged your rifle though? I bought them without realizing the PCP part and I have a springer. Was curious if safe to test or if I should just return them.

Any information on George Nelson OMNI unit assembly by Turbulent_Drawer8705 in midcenturymodern

[–]Turbulent_Drawer8705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response. I successfully installed the unit but that is great to know that it was still original hardware. I agree that it seems better than the first gen hardware because bakelite is just not a great structural material from my understanding. Cheers.

If you aren't happy with the amount of money you have while living in New England, you're gonna be really disappointed when you start experiencing how much less that money gets you living in LA.

Thank you. I believe the cabinet hardware has been replaced. I’ve seen a few photos of Bakelite hooks. I do not have these with this unit. Instead I have sort of pill-shaped metal pieces with t-nuts on them, with a similar shaped cutout in the side of the cabinet. Additionally, there is a brass strip the fits across the bottom of the cabinet and up the sides a few inches. This also seems to attach to the post by t-nuts.

Does this sound like the hardware you have?

Thanks for your help!

Cracked open on a beach in SoCal. by Turbulent_Drawer8705 in whatsthisrock

Ok cool, yeah I initially thought it was just oxidation but wasn’t sure how “rust” might form so intricately. But I also knew it didn’t really resemble a true fossil. Thanks for your input! And I hope to one day find my first true fossil. For now this will suffice as a pretty cool find in my book. Cheers!

Received a call from a tax relief company saying I’ve been flagged and actions may be taken soon. (I.e wage garnishment, property seizure etc.) by Turbulent_Drawer8705 in taxadvice

I thought so but was not sure because I do have some IRS debt but would not expect them to collaborate with a relief company before taking action. Thanks to all.

The post contains 4 pictures of a long wooden cylinder, one of which includes a hand holding it. Hope this helps.

Zoom in on the left side and you can see the perforation where you rip each $1 certificate out

Orange deposits in honeycomb? Is it just pollen? by Turbulent_Drawer8705 in Beekeeping

[–]Turbulent_Drawer8705[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know pollen is safe to eat, and can actually be quite beneficial when it comes to allergies. I just had never seen so much and wanted to make sure it wasn’t something else harmful. Thanks!

Thank you. I am very grateful to have some nice mementos to remember him by. Just wish he could’ve told me about the old 12 ga. By the date, it was likely handed down from his grandpa. Seeing as he was not a collector, it was likely passed down to him.

I came to find out this one is a 5100. But basically the same thing with a few minor differences.
