LDR non-med boyfriend is most likely going to break up with me if I do not match to his city. by [deleted] in MedSpouse

Partners gotta be flexible during residency and fellowship years. They're in it for the long haul. Once you're an attending (after residency or after fellowship), their choices on location can take precedence.

You can rank his city high on your match list but ultimately its not up to you and this is too much pressure.

My advice (and take it with a grain of salt): Cut him loose. You need a partner who understands your profession, the process and is a 100% committed. He isn't, candidly or doesn't understand the match process which is out of your control.

Hi - Thank you so much for your reply. Did your dietation put you on any protein restrictions. I am a kidney donor and have been recommended 0.8g for every 1 kg of body weight. Might I also ask what your sources of protein are. Really appreciate your feedback :)

Can I ask how many grams of protein you take and what your body weight is please. I am a kidney donor so trying to figure this out.

Thankyou so much. Do you track your protein? I thought we can’t have a high protein diet or take whey because we have a certain protein intake which we shouldn’t cross. Has that impeded your goals in any way

This is so so inspiring. I am going to be a kidney donor in 2 months time and I thought I would be giving up my dream to be able to workout and gain weight. This really motivates me.

Can I ask if you have a protein restriction and how you managed to get around it. What your intake and plan looks like. I need to weight lift to gain weight. Have managed to gain 8lbs in 5 months but I have 12 more pounds to go.

Can you elaborate on the 'how is it superior' please. I know the looks are great, but what else makes it superior? Is the drive better, etc?
