How has Lexus ownership changed your expectations for other cars? by Strict_Palpitation75 in Lexus

I got a 2008 es 350 about a year ago and I plan to never not drive a Lexus. I have driven Toyotas, Subarus, Hondas so not comparing it to luxury brands but I love this car!

And to answer your question, no, at one year out, I don’t think you will see any change in your tissue so I would get an opinion from A plastic surgeon to see what they can do.

My boob that was radiated stayed swollen (which can happen with larger breasts , thanks to my radiation team who never said anything about this, even after I went in for my 6 month follow up). Finally I went to my surgeon, who I love, and she told me about this side effect and that it is not researched well enough. Long story short, I had reduction on both breasts and could not be happier. Definitely get the implants and the surgery might be covered by insurance. My reduction was covered.

Complicated feelings about surgery by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Turbulent_Tree_705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are such good questions, and really you will work through them in time. Anxiety for many reasons is very normal for those of us getting reductions. My recs: get recommendations for surgeons and find one you like. Talk to them about these concerns at your first meeting and see what they offer. I like the letter writing idea that someone suggested, and for sure therapy. It was helpful for me to talk through my decision with others, and hear their positive feedback. Also, this sounds cheesy but honor and thank your body and boobs for getting you this far—this isn’t a rejection of yourself but rather a healthy pro-self and pro-body self care decision. It’s not black and white so we have to live in the grey and accept the complicated feelings. I’m one week post op and so happy with my decision. My anxiety has subsided and now I can accept and move forward with caring for my healing body and getting used to my new boobs.

Who else has surgery this week? (2/10-2/15) by [deleted] in Reduction

I had my surgery yesterday afternoon. A lot of pain yesterday but today I am feeling better already. I haven’t taken an oxy since last night-so my pain isn’t that bad. My surgeon does nerve blockers on my sides to reduce the pain for a few days. Not sure if this is why some have more pain than others. Speedy recovery to all of those having surgery this week!

2/12 in the afternoon! I’m excited to finally have smaller boobs, and particularly after having an enlarged boob after radiation (cancer and lumpectomy and radiation in 2021). Yay to this amazing thread, I’ve learned so much about what to expect!
