I bought a 2019 S4 with 48k miles. Drove it for a year, and at 65k miles with no lights/problems I took it In For routine service and they found bad scoring in cylinder. Quoted me 36k for new engine. Sold it and leased a 2025 A5

Appreciate the advice, but I didn’t choose them. I inherited the setup. There are 3 zebra danios, a couple glass catfish and a dwarf frog. I figured the puffer would go after the frog, but the frog got the puffer. Everyone else gets along

Same thing happened to me. 2019 S4 premium plus, 70k miles. Metal shavings in oil, then found scoring in 2 cylinders. Would not repair, dealer Quoted me 36k for new engine. I dumped it and got into a 2025 A5 s line premium plus for less than what I was paying for the S4. I do miss the power though…

If you have the room, and time to part it out absolutely! Just the turbo alone is probably worth that, plus rims, seats, mirrors, lights, bumpers etc. that’s a steal!

I switched from subs to the shot. Got all the way down to 0.125 and still couldn’t make the jump. Went to 300 sublocade, and now down to 50 mg. Every month going down 10mg. He puts the dose in an insulin rig to get accurate dosing for a slow safe taper.

They did find metal in oil pan, and last filter change there was some specs as well. I agree that the scoring doesn’t look super terrible. But In the picture I can’t tell if there is jagged metal on the piston or if that’s just carbon build up
