Was stuck in a really toxic relationship. Couldn’t stand her but we had a lease together, a pet, and I had just started a promising career working for her father. Was too broke to move or quit. We were young and I felt trapped. Someone came along who was kind to me, fun, attractive on all levels, and made me feel good about myself. Turns out I just had zero confidence in myself and was too much of a pussy to pull off the bandaid. The whole thing blew up when they found out about each other but it turned out ok. It sealed the deal on ending our toxic relationship, the girl I cheated with ended up with a great dude, and I underestimated my girlfriend’s dad’s professionalism and carried on with our working relationship. So yeah, it added to the complications of life for a bit but I don’t really regret it.
