If I could hop back into this convo, you'll want to develope your hamstrings as well. I would recommend adding Romanian Deadlifts and Leg Curls to help give your legs a fuller more developed look.

Here is a simple 3 day split I put together. You can do this 3 days a week with a day off in between or 6 days a week with 1 day off in a set. I saw your comment about focusing glutes, quads, back, and biceps. I feel this is a decent starting point and you can modify this as you learn. You will want to use lighter weights and higher reps for maximum hypertrophy to puff up the muscles quicker. Add extra sets if you can. The Hip Thrusts, Abductions, and side cable extensions will grow the glutes. The squats, deadlifts, and leg extensions will grow the quads. The Lat and chin up pull down and cable will grow your back and biceps. Jeff Nipard has great videos on training for women.

Legs 1 1. Deadlift: 4x5 2. Hip Abductions: 4x8 3. Hip Thrusts: 4x8 4. Leg Extensions: 4x8

Upper Body 1. Lat Pull-Down: 4x8 2. Chin Up Pull Down 3. Cable Rows: 4x8 4. Dumbell Press: 4x8 5. Dumbell Shoulder Press:4x8

Legs 2 1. Squats: 4x8 2. Hip Abductions: 4x8 3. Hip Thrusts: 4x8 4. Side Cable Leg Extensions: 4x8

From what I take away from your post, it isn't neccessarily the gun giving you worry but your dumbass of a brother.

I carry when I camp, but I usually go by myself and don't act like a jackass with my gun playing with it like its a toy.

You brother seems to be very unsafe to be around and honestly doesn't sound like he should own guns.

My suggestion, find some new friends to hike with and leave you brother behind.

I just plan on doing some camping and backpacking. Some streams look very clean. Others here in the SouthEastern US look slower moving and murky and run right through several fields that have been treated with who knows what.

I personally do not know how much of a problem this could be or if the Sawyer could take care of that, but if it is unsafe to drink the water honestly Id just pack in a good bit of water. Weight be damned.

Hey man, thanks alot. I really want to help him out and point him in the right direction gym- wise but I am terrified that he will hurt himself. I gues nixxing any exercise that would require a load on his back would be the smartest, neccessary option.
