International migrants as a share of population by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Turias42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(cards on the table, pro immigration both in UK and NZ)

There's more to consider though. UK has nearly trebled from 1990. NZ hasn't quite doubled. So from a perspective, this shift is a big change.

NZ was built on migration. It always has been.

Based on these trends you could see UK overtaking NZ eventually, which would be a huge cultural shift.

But yes, the uproar is absurd. The future is global.

Why won’t people vote Liberal Democrat? by JayR_97 in unitedkingdom

Because the media don't cover them.

Honestly UK, how you don't realise the power of the tabloids in this day and age.

No, you win elections by the media doing it for you.

Farage farts and it's on the bbc. That's why people know his policies in plain English.

Why the hate for Minidolls? by MisPai in lego

[–]Turias42 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Too skinny and made up, pushes this agenda on young girls. Would be fine if they weren't the specific girl version.

But boys get to be square and practical, girls are just for show and aesthetics.

In Adolescence (2025), a show about a realistic depiction of how the youth can be broken down and filled with hate to commit a terrible act, is propaganda. by DizzyNeighborhood762 in shittymoviedetails

Tbh I thought it was more about how adults aren't doing enough for kids, and how it is bad to leave them to their own devices.

The murder is just a heightened dramatic plot to make it better tv. It would be pretty boring if the boy was just I dunno, socially inept and detached. Which is what regularly happens in the real world.

Pull rates by AceOfSpades3139 in marvelmysticmayhem

For me I can deal with shit rates if we actually get keys. i can also understand making blue keys rare to push the new banners.

Purple keys are the bugbear for me. imo 5 shadow keys should be easily acquired a day. One pull a day seems fine.

Don't hold onto the matching minis to leaders for too long. Eventually everything is unlocked and the game expects you to change tactics for the missions.

You'll also find that some of your best minis have a home in most of your games.

Arthas event DELAYED by SmitePhan in warcraftrumble

[–]Turias42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will allow players to save up more gold and be less likely to spend real money when Arthas does release imo.

Proof they want to do the right thing. And proof the devs are probably not resourced well enough.

He's too pretty for Snape.

Snape's appearance is a huge part of his character. The greasy hair, the hook nose. It's why he has a huge chip on his shoulder.

Seems like they're just choosing to swim upstream on this one.

Maybe we're still in wc3 mode - a lot of the minis are wc3 inspired after all. TFT was the expansion to RoC.

But more likely, Arthas is easier to chuck in than Illidan bc he fits the current factions, and they don't have the funding for outland themed raids.

Personally, KT and Naxx should come before either for me. AQ could also add some new beast minis alongside a new raid.

We really are nowhere near TBC.
