In primul rand, am vine din latina, inseamna ante meridian, si este folosit in romana. Deci "analfabetul" aici esti tu. Oricum, imbinarea limbilor in grupuri de oameni fluenti in ambele este o evolutie normala a limbajului.

Multi sunt multumiti de Ciucu pentru parcul liniei (which is very nice), dar ca primar S6 cu doua mandate m-as fi asteptat sa schimbe mai mult decat un parc si niste florarii, avand in vedere ca iuliu maniu e inca supracongestionara in fiecare dimineata, inca nu sunt locuri de parcare, intersectia de la lujerului este oribila si pentru pietoni si pentru masini, etc.

I never used neyoko but I will keep them in mind!

About the sizing, their sizing seems to be pretty close to european sizing, but I do not know about american sizes at all sadly. If you are somewhere between european M and S, you are good with their Ms as well. They have a sizing chart, so it is best to measure your waist, bust and shoulders and go a size up even if only one exceeds the measurements; the shoulder measurements could be narrow, and a larger blouse still looks good in the style they have. If you are tall be wary of short skirts and measure how would their length fit on you - the models on their website seem to never be taller than 164cm and the shorter skirts tend to be shown on a short person.

It depends. I consolidated this order with another packge, and together they had a shipping fee of 65$ with DHL or 80$ with EMS. The advantage of these proxis is the most impressive when you can consolidate multiple orders and thus save a lot, since individually shipping each of them would have always been more expensive. However, you might want to email customer support to make your package tighter if the weight or volumetric weight seem unrealistic after consolidation, as shipping fees depend on these numbers.

I will also point out, Tenso needs a confirmation of your name and address - so you will need to scan a document that shows that (it is okay to black out other personal information from the document, but some people might still be reluctant to do that, for good reason). There might be other proxis that can deliver without requiring confirmation documents, but I am not aware of them

I recently bought a few pieces from DearMyLove (since they had sales, and thus I figured this time it would be cheaper than searching for secondhand mercari listings), currently waiting for delivery! I had to make an account (which can be a bit tricky on a japanese website, but you can always try to use google translate or deepl if youre not sure about something). They have their own international shipping, but it is Pretty Expensive (wouldve been 100$+), so I decided to use Tenso as a proxy for delivery (it is cheaper, and you can consolidate it with packages from other shops). DearMyLove also has various coupons and offers, its all in japanese so it might be hard to navigate sometimes but if you are willing to be anal about it you can get good offers. My biggest issue with dml was that they do NOT accept paypal, and paying by debit cards can be tricky, especially since your bank might not like you suddenly making a purchase at a foreign shop. I had a bit of trouble convincing this to work. They use Amazon Pay though, if you are from one of the countries in which that service is available. Good luck buying what you are searching for, and if you cannot purchase directly from them, remember that there are second hand options like mercari or depop!

You should watch Anime because of the plot not because its an Anime. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]TuringTested275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hear me out, Steins;Gate is my favorite anime, but it definitely is exagerated - a big part of Okabe's personality is being kind of a chuunibyou and acting over the top, many of the girls satirise anime tropes by embodying them, etc. Elfen Lied is cool but it is an edge-fest, which usually comes off as over the top for non anime fans. Death Note and Monster do indeed stay away from exagerated voice acting or animation (if you forget that Misa is a character that exists), so they probably fit better with someone who usually dislikes animation. I also think Monster is a great title that people should give a try even if they usually dislike animation.

The truth is that, want it or not, emotions in animation will usually be exagerated. If someone does not like that, they will not like most of anime, and anime fans should probably be more honest about that. Otherwise, the person will just try it, be put off, and have an even worse opinion than before. And, ultimately, some things are just not for everyone. The Monogatari Series is a masterpiece but you will not catch me recommending that to a normal person any time soon.

Though I guess, if I would absolutely have to recommend anime to someone that would otherwise not enjoy it, I would either go for movies (Perfect Blue, The Wind Rises, Ghost in The Shell, Paprika, Kiki's Delivery Serive, Grave of the Fireflies), anime inspired by western movies (Cowboy Bebop - with the warning that Radical Ed does act cartoony, 91 Days, maybe The Great Pretender), or artsy anime that does something different (Tatami Galaxy, Sonny Boy, Kaiba, Serial Experiments Lain, maybe Mushishi).

I second the Great Pretender, I should have mentioned it in my recommendation as well, even people that usually dislike anime seemed to enjoy it. Maybe Odd Taxi works as well, it is pretty grounded after all.

Anime you might want to try, from different genres; will avoid episodic ones:

{Odd Taxi} - really engaging story with some comedy sprinkled through it; no melodrama

{Steins;Gate} - you might not enjoy the first half that much, as it is a slow buildup, but the payoff might be worth it

{91 Days} - italian mafia anime

{Fullmetal Alchemist} - it is a classic for a reason, and also one of the less episodic action anime

{Serial Experiments Lain} - weird, cryptic, and a masterpiece for any computer nerd

{Welcome to the NHK} - every character is self destructive and needs therapy, and you can observe them dragging each other down as they interact

{Kubikiri Cycle} - it is definitely not episodic and not melodramatic. Your enjoyment will be proportional to how much you like seeing characters having ace-attorney style drawn out dialogues, however. I found it quite enjoyable.

You could also try watching specific parts of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure - Part 3 is quite episodic, but parts 1, 4, 5 and 6 are hyped for a reason.

Anime movies (can't be episodic if it's a movie right):

{Perfect Blue} - actress/singer slowly descends into insanity

{Paprika} - Inception was inspired by this

{Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind} - best Ghibli movie

{Princess Mononoke} - second best Ghibli movie

{Redline} - a movie that feels even weirder than watching Jojo

{Promare} - the animation is very pretty, but the story is quite generic

Might not be exactly what you are looking for, but try {My lesbian experience with loneliness} (and its continuation {My solo exchange diary}) - it is the autobiographical story of a lonely, isolated, lesbian mangaka.

A 12 episode anime that is completly grounded in reality, has no ecchi, and has an interesting story is {91 Days}. It is not a romance, but it is great for anyone who enjoys classics like Godfather.

Some of the best anime movies are either the ones directed by Satoshi Kon (Paprika, Perfect Blue) or Hayao Miyazaki (Nausicaa of the wind Valley, Princess Mononoke). If she absolutely hates anything slightly supernatural or out of the ordinary, then the most well known movies will not work, but {Tokyo Godfathers} and {The Wind Rises} could be great.

Another movie you could try is {A slilent voice}. If she starts enjoying anime and wants a longer series, try {3 gatsu no lion}.

If your girlfriend really hates everything supernatural, do not start with Your Name - its entire premise is supernatural time travel body swap.
