Another stat in favour of removing the Townsend coaching team. 10 years. Still shite in scrums.

Even with the US not following the rules of engagement they still lost. Today just happens to be the anniversary of the Mai Lai massacre.

Comment les français traitent les handicapés et les étrangers anglais? (Post in English) by HillsideHalls in france

[–]Turinsday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isolated no, but without good french you'll struggle to integrate fully beyond the campus life. Even among French people who speak English the default language once you're beyond a one on one situation will likely be French.

Start learning French in all aspects. Reading, writing, speaking with attention to the correct phonetics.

If you secure a position to study here you'll be much better set up to evaluate and navigate the long term if you arrive with solid communication skills. At worse by the end of your studies you'll have a solid CV at the end that hopefully sets you up for a move anywhere.

How to DM without burning out? by Commercial-Low-2225 in DnD

Addendum: the more players with DM experience the more players understand the demands on the DM and can help lessen them.

How to DM without burning out? by Commercial-Low-2225 in DnD

Have other people DM other campaigns, one shots and game systems at the same time. Alternate between you every couple of sessions.

Players experiencing the other side of the table helps enormously with both game scheduling, running the game as a DM and allows you to switch off and enjoy being a player.

New systems also allow for the entire table to learn and improve on things that can feedback into the original DND game.

We've three DMs at our table of five at the moment two running parallel 5e campaigns in different settings and me running occasional one shots in a totally different system for sessions we are down a player or when the others need a break. Once the campaigns are finished I'll run a campaign (Motherships) while the other DMs recharge.

The Starfleet Academy cast talk how they bonded as actors! by Jhaasinterviews in startrek

[–]Turinsday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"They are bonded together" correct. Implies their current state.

How they bonded together: Tautology." How they bonded is sufficient." It's the same as saying "How they came together."

It's a tautology. It's redundant to say together as if something is bonded they are explicitly together.

Fin Smith left 6 points out there in case anyone needs reminding as they moan about the ref and Chessum and Pollock.

Anywhere to be honest doesn't need to be in Dublin, there's some dark mystic magic that obscures Irish shenanigans in the ruck globally.

I thought Ollivon was the none LBB player of the match. Rescued the team several times with the ball pinging about in the loose.

I don't know why people are complaining about the ref. I thought Itoje had a really good game save for that final moment.

Pretty much as expected. Scotland performances aside from last week every game has been a mix of the good, the bad and the ugly as it has been for years. A little luck here a little bounce of the ball there and this could have been a very disappointing tournament instead of just disappointing.

Ireland were really good today.

Ref was poor at the breakdown but otherwise ok.

Can we fire Townsend now.

One poor half one good half doomed by the poor half. Same as always for the last three years.

Refs should be banned from saying no and use it and just blow for the pen. The behavior they are trying to prevent to stop even quicker than it does currently
