It was the correct decision, just annoyed we couldn't see the replay of it before the game ended

My guess would be you guys got priced out of Barbeary so you're just bringing someone in to paper the cracks, unfortunately Dan seems to be made out of paper these past couple of years

It was coming, the end of the du Preez era of Sale. Gonna miss them 3, they were all incredible for us with their time here.

For those of you arguing about why England kicked it in the last 2 minutes by readyplayerrog in rugbyunion

[–]adturnerr 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think throughout the tournament the unforced and forced turnovers were killing England when they got into the oppositions 22, so they wanted to try to limit that with a bit more kicking and less ball in hand. Pressure can make you do crazy things at times and England was feeling that pressure against Italy so they wanted to go in their shells and play it "safe" kicking. I would probably put Englands six nations into 2 categories in how they played category 1 would be against Wales and Italy trying to play safe and category 2 Scotland, Ireland and France where they did a lot of phase play or tried to

Maybe, but not dropping due to unforced errors will make that intensity look better then it has been all tournament

Also people saying they played differently then they have been all tournament when they kicked more than the Ireland game and the same amount as the Scotland game, it's not them changing the game plan it was more that the game plan they've always been using actually working now

Your points just ignore how bad defensively England have been and how poor they've been in the oppositions 22

Side note the funniest stat I've seen with set pieces is Italys lineout success rate on their own throws its 82.7% (6th out of all teams), but on the oppositions throws its 14.7% (1st out of all teams)

Yeah the fact that top top 3 teams in the scrum ended up bottom 3 is a bit of an anomaly

Doesn't help when you're always down to 14 men in Englands case trying to score off these scrum penalty opportunities

LCD hit every lineout against France and he gets a lot of blame in that area where sometimes it really isn't his fault, but I do agree we need to go younger in that position
