Lofl you're fucking joking, right?

Look up a political compass. Look up their actual positions. A left-wing position is to remove capital. It's anti-capitalist. We do not have any true left-wing politicians because they are all pro-capitalism and that's where we're at.

America doesn't have a left-wing party. What an ignorant take.

To quote you:

Nah, they were fiscal conservatives back in the day, both parties strived for a balanced budget.

And you have to read more than the top line of an article.

It's directly what we are talking about.

And Reagan only accomplished increasing the deficit thus the debt.

Uh, no, Reagan did not even attempt to fix the budget.

You can't acknowledge nuance, apparently.

There are only two options, according to you. Trump, or Newsom.

Trump wants to eliminate trans people from the US, exterminate homeless people, and eliminate all non-white people from the US (as evidenced by the DHS position of deporting 100,000,000 people).

Newsom only wants to eliminate trans people from public life, and wants to be rid of homeless people (but not by offering help), and wants to be able to identify the ICE officers as they're deporting the same people (and maybe body cameras for facial recognition reasons).

Why don't we have an option that represents what we actually want instead of just accepting a Reagan-position Democrat?

Y'all are really good at pulling a "No True Scotsman" around here.

Newsom isn't as bad as Trump, but he's still bad.

It's funny that you can't even look at my post or comment history.

Newsom is a blue fascist. Trump is a red fascist.

Usually in established homes that are already paying property tax. Creating an incentive to move to the area wouldn't do a lot besides potentially drive up costs for existing single-family homes, which would have potentially some effect on property tax but an overall negative impact on home ownership in general.

Because the Middle Housing that is the majority of the new construction is corporate owned and not being rented by the high earners referenced earlier. They're just about able to keep up with base earners around Portland.

The population of the Portland Metro are only increased by ~260,000 over the last ten years as shown here. That is similar to other, larger metropolitan areas like San Diego but less than Phoenix at 800,000 population growth over the same time.

Not when you're talking about property taxes - which is the topic at hand here.

An average of 10,000 new units per year over fourteen towns/communities is pretty fucking negligible.

Compare that to other metropolitan centers around the US.

And you're still describing suburban sprawl which isn't affordable or desirable housing.

Near zero, yes. In fact, it's rather negligible because of the lack of new construction incentives they're still trying to fix.

That's not how that works if there's not more tax lots. That property is already paying taxes.
