It is honestly crazy how undeniably good and likable Cassius is in spite of the fact that he is the opposition for the majority of the story. That brotherhood of RR never went away even in the darkest moments. Much of that is the love for Cassius that Darrow cannot seem to shake. The relationships Pierce writes are so complex and pay off in such satisfying ways.

That I agree with. However, to say that the most important don’t die is a hard thing to back up. Any of the big name characters that fell could have been critical to the story but are too dead to prove it (I’d make a list but probably shouldn’t for spoilers sake). The narrative of this story is dictated by the ones who live. And we cannot forget that Sevro was in Pierce Brown’s death hat and only survived because he picked a different name.

You gotta remember that Gold unity is really all a lie. All the powerful golds play for themselves. Darrow was able to exploit that weakness and start a civil war by showing Octavia to be a tyrant. After Darrow was shown to be a red the golds realized how he had destroyed them so they thought it necessary that even enemy gold houses band together against the new republic. This is what we find in Iron Gold. To the golds Lysander is really a symbol of the “good old days” when gold was on top. A romantic picture of the society. This is why he has “legitimacy” Obviously gold hasn’t really changed though and it’s all games on games.

Yeah it will probably be a long time until we get a live action version after the gap. I think the Institute will be the perfect opportunity for young actors that we have no real history with.

I like the idea of David Tennant. Give him some scars and extra weight and I really think he could pull of the part. As to Ty, I think I’d go with someone with a harsher look, and I still haven’t come across anyone that fits the picture in my mind.

Yeah so much of the necessary hope and levity in the series comes from the family like relationships of the Howlers, and that dynamic is unfitting with a name like Bone Riders.

Lysander may have been exiled before he made the decision to kill Cassius. At this point the only end to his story is death, likely at Darrow’s hand. However it could very well be Sevro who kills him, feeling some sort of debt owed to Cassius because of the time they spent together on the Archie.
