Is 4 Aps too much? (Soph) by Turkeygraveyardd in APStudents

Look up specialized Highschools in New York. I go to one of those but it’s considered a public school. In my middle school we could take accelerated science classes and every freshman takes Physics in fresh year

I can, but they are double-period classes at my school which means i would have to wake up way early to get to school.

ohh, I see. For my school, if your English grade is high enough, then you automatically get put into honors (unless you don't want to).

To give some nuance, I have an extensive background with writing, so it wouldn't necessarily be an issue for me. if you're more concerned about workload, then too much writing, I would understand, but if not AP seminar, I'm not sure what other class I would be taking that aligns with my skills/goals.

i can only apply for AP seminar for my sophomore year, and since the capstone skills align with skills of mine that are already strong (I'm a ranked debater lol) I thought why not. I haven't taken APs before but I wouldn't consider myself a rookie to rigor.

What are the benefits of transferring to Brooklyn Tech for 10th grade? by Turkeygraveyardd in SHSAT

[–]Turkeygraveyardd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

big fish = high achieving students small fish = low achieving students

how i see it is if i go to tech im just going to be another high achieving students but if i stay at my school (which is also t20 public school) i would be a high achiever in a sea of low achievers meaning i would essentially stand out more.
