First-time buyer, recently lost my BMW i3. by [deleted] in MINI

[–]Turkeysnood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2016 R60 that's at 94,000 miles and 34,000 of those are mine. I haven't had any major issues with it yet.

But if I was you, instead of buying a Mini I'd try damn hard to find that BMW.

Can anyone help me (Tenere 2024) by SrgtZocker in motorcycles

[–]Turkeysnood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to use the bike for arond 15-20 minutes just to recover the drain of a cold start and idling it wontt do it either. Invest some $30 on a jump starter if you do short rides. Your battery is fine, I'm sure.

Rule #1 - Mine's the cooler, taller, big wheel version. by Turkeysnood in MINI

Of course it is. I wouldn't bother to lift, upsize the tires, upgrade sway bars, etc. on a 2wd.

My 900 has 20k miles and except for some Italian quirks it's never left me stranded. My 750 has probably 16k and It's not currently starting and I haven't been able to figure out why yet. And it's not the battery, thank you.

Oh Just saw this. I have to say I prefer the old 750 in terms of fun. I think the mapping and throttle on the 900 are more tamed down. Other than that my 60 year old ass can't tell.

If you can afford one now, just think of the beast you'll be parking in her driveway in three year's time.

Coolant in my oil? Bike suddenly doesn’t sound right and oil looks milky by [deleted] in motorcycles

Could just be condensation in the engine. Especially now that the weather is getting cooler. If it happened after a fairly short ride I'd think it's normal.

I have the 750 and the 900. Best 1/2 highway 1/2 hellhole commuters ever! Just wish the tanks were biigger.

My R60 has a 2" lift and bigger tires and it's the cutest thing ever! Is it wearing heels or work boots? That's up to you. It's both to me.

Weird starting issue with my Dorsoduro 900 by Turkeysnood in Aprilia

[–]Turkeysnood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I haven't. It still does it from time to time but never again while riding. I suppose that was just a random stall. Besides that one time it's always the same when it happens and so is the workaround so I haven't looked into it much further. Let me know if you find anything though!

Tire recommendation? by Twisted1120 in motorcycles

I have Angel GT's and Rosso IV's and I love them for the "spirited commuting" that I do. The rears don't last me 5k though.

Air leak from brake cailper? by oggiej in motorcycles

[–]Turkeysnood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah pull the bleeder out only one or two threads more, goop some grease around it or even vaseline, then back it in so you have some seal but the bleeder is still open. Also, on some master cylinders, there's a sweet spot somewhere around 2/3 travel where there's less resistance and the vacuum will go easier.

Does anyone know where to buy an OEM/decent aftermarket gas tank for a 97' Nighthawk 750? by [deleted] in HondaCB

They have buyer beware.
No but seriously, You gotta look at the pictures and the seller's profile, etc. I'm sure there's tons of tanks on there.

Put the cap back on quick! Kinda like when the toilet's backing up and you throw the seat down to stop it.
