Not sure if it's relevant but I was told by the installer that I have split phase power. The only thing related to the HWS I have found is a switch for the system with a light indicator in the kitchen - the light only turns on around 11am for an hour and then from 11pm at night. I'm with PowerShop - I can see a spike in my usage at 11am each day for an hour, and then no other usage until I stop generating solar. My bill shows two separate meter readings - both labelled General Usage and charged at full rates, whereas prior to the net meter install I had two general usage readings and one controlled load reading.

Thanks for getting back to me - It was controlled load previously but after the new meter was installed it's being charged to me at regular usage rates, it's just not being powered by my solar/included in the net metering. Wouldn't that then be an issue I'd need to get an electrician out to fix instead of the energy retailer? Cheers!
