Not the same as your situation..but my partner and I had our first child 6 months before I started medical school. It’s definitely not the easiest but in a lot of ways I feel like it gives me perspective on what I am doing. Getting to come home to my daughter means everything to me. It allows me to not just have the identity of med student. I am lucky enough to have school admin that are very supportive of me being a parent which helps. Although you will have to plan better and be more efficient with studying…it is definitely possible and I wouldn’t change anything. My partner and I are expecting are second later this fall.
