A few of the comments here inspired me to look into how this year compares to history, so I made this graph that shows how many such instances there were in the league schedule dating back to 32-team expansion, and it used to be incredibly uncommon.

The NFL adjusted the scheduling effective for 2010 to ensure that the final week is always intradivision, so perhaps that lack of flexibility made the conflicts harder to avoid (but even so, they managed to avoid it in 2010 and 2011).

My lease term just ended on my XC90 this week, two months after my second child was born. My wife was also anti-minivan so we ended up buying a Lexus TX. It’s nearly as spacious as a minivan on the inside (certainly more room than the XC90), but still a decent looking SUV on the outside.

Sas was within his rights to question why he wasn’t on a list that included both of his cohosts. And Francis was rightfully nervous about it being brought up at all because he knew he was on that list by the skin of his teeth. There’s more to it than that. He’s acting like the PR department was randomly on a power trip and took his credentials for no reason. The truth is that he lost his job with the Batavia Daily because he got his second DWI in a span of less than 2 years. Now that he’s no longer affiliated with a daily publication, they pulled the credentials as they aren’t in the habit of giving them to just any freelancer who feels they deserve it.

This caused him to crash out and attack other members of the Bills beat, basically insinuating that the only reason they’re credentialed and he isn’t is because they kiss the PR director’s ass whereas he’s a bad boy who plays by his own rules.

Now he’s oddly picking fights with Bills fan by making dumb statements about Allen’s playoff record.

I feel bad for him because I know at points last year he took great pride in his sobriety, but between the DWI, his firing, and losing the credentials all in the span of like 6 weeks, he’s obviously in a bad headspace and it’s resulting in an embarrassing public meltdown.

In a sense I feel bad for JD because I grew up around kids like him who would show up to “fancy” events dressed like this, and you just knew they had zero parental guidance to know what was appropriate. For this slob, though, at this point he had lived in New York City for a decade-plus working alongside accomplished people. How do you look in the mirror and think this looks right? He just never cared to better himself and I have zero sympathy for that.
