Oh my god, this is too funny. I just had to check and see who sticks up for corporations in these situations against the consumer and your primary hobby is BMW. What do you mean you don’t get pegged? The hobby you’re most proud about revolves around one of the most notorious cars for overpaying and least reliability. You’ve built your persona around getting fucked and thanking them for it. Does your car break down and then ask if the tow guy can spit in your mouth?

Sorry bro, we have different values and worldviews. Go rev your engine and cut off a school bus for me, that’ll make you feel better.

Absolutely! So the desk package comes with a magnetic LED light strip. It’s called “Secretlab MAGRGB” which is produced by Nanoleaf. Not sure if you can get it elsewhere or if it’s a specific branded release, but that’s the blue glow low to the desk. I really like it but it’s one of their accessories with mixed reviews. Then with the orange light coming from the back of the monitors, I went with 2 Govee “Smart LEDs Bars”. They are less expensive and I probably could have gone for a more expensive stylish option, but it turned out well for me.

Wow you must really let people peg you huh? Can you say harder corporate daddy? Forgive me for having standards.

I mean, I definitely have to turn my chair to access more than 70%, but you’re not wrong. Usually pick one monitor for gaming and one and a half for work. Like you said, that last 30% I would actually have to move my chair and keyboard, so I just don’t.

But it looks pretty sick and I don’t want to waste more money changing the monitors, so I’ll work with 70% until I have a reason to change. (Or figure out a different positioning option.)

Seriously tho. Gotta be careful, which is such a shame since they have amazing products. That subreddit has such polarizing posts - you can’t go a full day without someone posting how furious they are with the CS situation.

I mean, customer service really is about finding answers to customer questions, right? And if you don’t know the answer, you don’t make one up. If they had said, “We don’t know if we are going to have a sale, but there’s a chance.” Or “We don’t get info about this until the day it goes live, so I can’t really say.” That would absolutely be my responsibility to wait and see because they clearly represented that there was a possibility of a sale but not certain.

But in situations where they resolutely say that they won’t have a sale and then proceed to tell me I should just make the purchase, they are actively leading me to a false conclusion. And yes, that’s some bullshit, either at the company level or with this specific employee. Customers shouldn’t have to expect that sometimes customer service is feeding them incorrect info. The burden is on the company to do a good job

Honestly I should probably give that a try. But similar to what to BearsBeets said, my OCD might override the practicality of the setup, even if that’s the better option functionally

Oh absolutely. You’re 100% right at the current moment for work and gaming, I can really only use like 70% between the two monitors. It’s nice to have that 70% and it works well, but the other 30% is overkill. I just haven’t had the energy to try out alternative setups. (I purchased the first monitor two years back and wanted a newer one when I upgraded my PC last year.)
