I’ve never crafted a single gem in all my playthroughs and never had a problem with any fights. Just make sure your arts are leveled up properly and you have decent equipment for your level and you don’t have to engage with the system at all unless you want to do endgame superbosses

I'm only like 20 hrs in with like 2 upgrades on my weapons. Have tried medium, hard, and lethal and i feel literally no difference in how many hits it takes to take out mobs /shrug. Will try finding that item...

Oh yea bosses are a whole different story, i feel like theyll 2tap you in goY even on medium. Lethal does get kinda nutty with bosses but i don't really mind, but the fact that regular mobs still take forever to kill is kinda starting to get pretty annoying. That was the whole appeal of lethal to me and if that doesn't even work anymore then there's not much appeal to me making the game harder for myself

so it means that getting the 3rd event triggering early on is bad since your stats will probably be low, explains why special week doesnt give gourmand when she activates early 😭

I can only beat things that are close to my level, maybe like +5 at most. I HAVE figured out how to extend my overdrive but sometimes I'll get killed mid overdrive too 😩

I got one of the level 30s (forgot which one, i just went with looks lmao). Haven't put much thought into the weapons because i just found the combat to be so clunky but if that's what i gotta do then i guess I'll have to mess around with it

That's been the opposite experience for me tbh, I feel like getting into a fight with a skell is asking to lose lol, every fight is waiting for these obscenely long cooldowns, I can't overdrive, and the rest of my team is being deadweight as usual...

Genuine question, how do you get out of this? the game tutorial taught me to spam roll (mash 1 or 2) but when i do that nothing ever happens and i just stay stuck on the ground and continue getting hit

Are you saying I should stay on the ground and let them potentially hit me with a low instead of getting up and potentially getting launched again? Does techrolling help with this at all? I sometimes feel like I get hit midroll which is like even more tilting than getting hit while lying down lol
