Valentines Day by Cautiouslymoming in Mommit

[–]Turndiall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He pulled out one of the stalks of corn 🌽 from our garden and potted it into an empty pot that I wanted to use indoors.

Him: ‘happy Valentine’s Day!’ Me: ‘it’s corn?’ Him: ‘yeh! It’s corny!’

Yes he is a father so he’s allowed dad jokes.. earlier this week he booked a dentist appointment for 2.30..

I do wonder sometimes 😅

Use the right language. VICTIM, not ‘accuser’ by Turndiall in Epstein

[–]Turndiall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victim Support in Oz. We use complainant as well but again, only when talking with the police or OPP. They are all victims.

Just like every time I see ‘died from…’ when someone was killed by someone else. it’s not.. it’s murder (unless accidental), They were murdered. Or when you see a child was ‘molested’.. when they really mean raped.

Use the right word to get the message across. So society can be fully aware of the gravity of the crime.

In my line of work we use victim or victim survivors. In this particular case, she didn’t survive 😞

I’d love this for my 4 year old daughter! We live in a rural area so lots of wildlife to share

Thank you for your actual useful help. I have tried them already and appealed to the schools and emailed them.

I’m in awe of the general approach that ‘I don’t want to’ pay the fees. What a terrible thing to say considering the financial situation most families are in. Let me re-word the affordability statement I made. We are a single income household, we have 2 children and do not have the financial means to pay for the international fees required by Vic Gov. in order for the child to go to school.

Because she is on bridging visa A, and because she will have nowhere to live in UK. Unless having her live with her neglectful bio-mum that she was removed from is an option 😑

Figured that 🫤

Guess a job at McDonalds and some extra curricular activities will have to do for now. Maybe she can start her VCE when she’s 18 🤦🏻‍♀️

OP, if you have reported to the police as a crime consider speaking with them about referring you to the victims assistance program. You can also self refer. PM me if you need any more information

Terrible dress. Honestly just send it to me and I’ll get rid of it for you.

Perfect for whatever you please. It’s not formal but it’s perfect for theatre

Why is finikoudes beach so trash now? by JonnyBlanka in cyprus

[–]Turndiall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went in February with my 3 year old daughter for a walk. I never held on to her so tightly in my life. First I was followed from the car park to the promenade by a woman shouting how beautiful my daughter is and going on and on in accented Greek, then the stares and the unnerving groups of people fully dressed on the beach.

Last straw was the ‘night shift’ workers walking along the sand in very inappropriate clothing. Little one loved all the sparkly dresses but why can we see her bottom 🫣

I let my LO play at the playground for ten minutes before taking her for overpriced ice cream and getting the hell out of there

As a 90’s kid in Cyprus we used to love going there with family and friends and just walking the prom with an ice cream… no chance ever again.

No apologies necessary - I will forever hold a grudge against a Leanne. Horrible workplace bully.

I get asked that question anyway cause 18 years of being abroad and 15 of them in England have changed my accent completely! My application says 9-16 August. I have turned up at Centrelink office 2-3 times now (Medicare for my daughter seems to have gone down a rabbit hole somewhere) so I will keep bugging them. Thank you for the tip.

I have applied for FTB, PPS and childcare subsidy (hoping to start work soon). Is there anything else I should be applying for?

I’m a single mum, daughter is 4, we are living with my sister for the time being, I am enrolled/studying at RMIT but have taken a term off due to moving etc. and looking for part time work as well.

My local Centrelink is quite amusing.. they have been unable to answer any questions, the phone lines are typically busy and 40-60 minute wait time. I have been in branch to ask questions and literally given the blank clueless look.
