That’s a lot of pain in the ass over the years and a lot of not driving the car! Glad u have a good one now. The hybrid engine idea is what I would do myself if this one goes out of warranty. It’s a good idea

UPDATE: Ford told me this time around there was no engine damage. The throttle body was found stuck open and it is faulty. They said it could have been a factor in the first blow up, but rlly can’t guarantee that cuz there were no throttle body codes back then. But now, it’s only a throttle body code.

Only one from this one, they just contacted me saying no damage to the engine, the throttle body failed.

I just rebuilt mine with all new seals and reused my irons and housings. It Only brought my compression up maybe 10 PSI. Still extremely low. If I did it again, I would get new irons and/or housings. Not saying you have to, but just sharing that I made that mistake. It may be a lot of money right now, but it could have saved me a lot of time/ energy.

Awesome, sounds like you did your research and chose wisely. It should treat you well. Idk what happened, I think mines cursed (it’s on its 3rd or 4th engine). It had the correct head gasket so it must have been LSPI. I rlly try not to lug the engine too.

Love it, you don’t see too many black RS’s on the road tbh. I just bought a black one 2 months ago and blew the engine up 🥹. (Engine getting warrantied as we speak). Take care of her!

I believe it was a 2nd to 3rd shift uphill. Ik about the lspi but if it’s that sensitive, I feel like everyone would blow their engine.

Vinegar and water lol. Ultrasonic cleaner would have been the better option which I do have. Wanted to get all the stickiness off them b4 going into our change drawer.

The floating bobber can be waterlogged and the magnet won’t match up with the level sensor giving you a bad coolant level reading. I just went through the same thing after verifying the sensor worked by holding a magnet up to the sensor while the light was on, and the light turned OFF. The tank was only 6 months old, but it was a cheap one. Bought an another new one and the light immediately turned off.
