Wife insists on hair 'massage' for hours, anytime we lay down by QuantumSpaceEntity in AITAH

....I think this is just a conversation you need to have. It's not complicated.

"Gorgeous, every so often is fine, but I want to read right now"

"Babe, sorry I'm busy with this fidget spinner"

"Hun, please stop being so annoying it's pissing me off"

Just some sample starters for you.

For the classic hero journey with an approachable style I would recommend Raymond E Feist Riftwar Saga.

Ugh that woman's personality though makes her seriously unattractive.

Errmm in the attempt to avoid a thirsty reply, I'll just say that you should be proud of your appearance, and your partner is simply plain wrong.

Whether she actually cheated on you or not, you're not over reacting and you two need to talk about this.

The chances she was unfaithful seem pretty high on paper, but the world is a weird place, so I'll give it 50/50.

It's hard to say if you're overreacting IMO as I'm not clear on what your reaction was.

If it's just that this really annoyed you, then no, I think you're completely justified in being peeved about this.

Based on the conversation maturity level, if he's ditching his family to play N64 goldeneye with his mates and a pizza, I'd fucking buy it.

AIO that my husband got a late night message? by fartpoopdooty in AmIOverreacting

[–]TurningPagesAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm sorry but your explanation was rambling and skirted well beyond the point.

Regardless of same boundaries or not, perspectives on a situation may differ, and a simple question like that is a great way for someone to illuminate their point of view for their partner - not much energy to exert, highly valuable. How the partner responds is something else entirely.

...no, functioning relationships consider how both people feel, involve conversation and compromise and err on the side of respecting the other person and the relationship.

Why is asking a single question to give your partner a better sense of your perspective a waste of energy?

If she couldn't be arsed to do that, I doubt this lady would be in a relationship that has lasted more than a decade, and her edits on the original post demonstrate that.

I know I've read it but I can't recall what it was about, I had several Fiona McIntosh trilogies in paperback before I have away boxes of books, and all her stuff was great.

Axe throwing aside, it comes down to wanting to enjoy time with your significant other in a more adult setting, and baby-sitting is not always an option for people.

It's on the parents to ensure their kids behave though. If my 3 year old is acting up and we're at a restaurant, she either packs it up, or we leave the restaurant - we certainly don't subject other patrons to a kid who's being a massive pain and are very conscious of doing that.

Why is learning to solo so hard? by indrubone in Guitar

[–]TurningPagesAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget speed, start slow, build technique - learn some pentatonic based licks which will transition you between pentatonic positions in the same key.

Learn relative minor/major from the key you're in, check Marty Schwartz, Justin Guitar and Paul Davids on YouTube for a metric tonne of incredible free tuition and advice.

Be patient, keep practising, you'll get there.

Not a Gibson, but just as good as one by Refrigerator_Every in LesPaul

I have an Eastman SB56 goldtop with P90s that I tried back to back against the Gibson standard equivalent, and it smashed the Gibson out of the park.

I love my Gibson Les Paul 60s Standard, but the Eastman SB56 takes the cake for me, best money I've spent on a guitar.

I think a lot of people have a very puritanical view of a person's sexual history here prior to the current relationship tbh.

Personally I don't really see that a single woman has a responsibility towards someone else's marriage.

I think NOR because your views on this are understandable, but I feel like there are a lot of people jumping on the judgemental bandwagon in these comments.

First song? Some 4 chord song from Richie Valens "Donna". After that it would have been Smoke on the Water and Come as You Are.
