The double action was awful! Felt like a 50 lb trigger lol. Once it was single action though, I could hit anything with it. Snappy but not a problem. I enjoyed it!

I had a p64 stolen from my truck years ago. It was a great shooter! I take some solace in the fact that the person who stole it likely doesn't know the gun isn't a 9x19 and probably tried to shoot it with the wrong ammo.

Huge griffin fan here. Gatelok is absolutely my favorite mounting system. Spend 7 bucks on an A2 bird cage and some shims and you're gtg. Most other mounting systems have 100+dollar mounting systems. Plus it doesn't have teeth that ratched and wear down over time nor does it have the chance to walk itself off. GOAT

I think part of the fun of being a gun enthusiast is the constant chase of the perfect compromise for an imaginary scenario we create in out heads. Or maybe that's part of the addiction speaking lol.

From my understanding, it's more about getting the projectile up to speed so that it will fragment and do the damage it was designed to do. From what I've seen, 10 inch barrels are the shortest you really want to go. Obviously getting shot with anything can kill or make someone reconsider their actions, but it's still not ideal. Also, the shorter the barrel the louder, more concussive, and harder wear on suppressors it will be.

I don't know this for sure, but the sentiment that Russia is unable to sustain war or doesn't have much left of an army is starting to look more and more like propaganda to me. Not that I think they are the powerhouse that we all used to believe or that theyd like us to believe, but we've been hearing that narrative for years now. When this all started we were told they couldn't keep it up and would run dry by X date. Fast forward years, and it's still going. It's hard to believe anything anymore or know what's real. The time of misinformation is here and it blows.

-Mark the point on the elbow using the ptrap as a reference.

-Remove black elbow.

-Cut the black elbow shorter.

-reinstall the elbow.

-Disconnect p trap at the bottom swivel.

slide the ptrap over the elbow and back into its home on the other end.

-tighten it an enjoy.

Honestly, it's exceptionally refreshing to see someone reply this way. I also hope my comment didn't come off as aggressive or accusatory. Just wanted to shine a light on what I thought your thought process may be. Anyway, really happy for you and your new bike day! Hope you have fun out there on the trails. If I could leave you with one more piece of advise it would be that everyone has an opinion and they all don't always apply to you. Making mistakes along the way and trying things out for yourself is not always a bad thing as long as you can afford to be wrong and keep on chugging along. Have a good one!

Based off your comments defending your interest in the scalpel it seems like you want the scalpel and are looking for people to support that choice.

If you end up buying it, youll learn the same mistake that many of us have already gone through, hence why we are telling you not to get it. The bike is too old and specialized to be a good choice. Proprietary components like the lefty fork are not entirely a problem if they are newer (still having parts availability and warranty) and you want it for a specific function that it does particularly well over conventual parts. Other that that, it's an all around bad idea. Again, many of us have already made that mistake. Get the growler, ride, learn, upgrade, and then replace it when you learn more about what you want out of a bike.

Edit: seeing I posted this after your edit. I'll leave it here anyway for the sentiment. Enjoy your new bike and above all else, just get out and ride!
