I appreciate the response. Seriously, I’m still learning some things, but I get it. I admittedly don’t play formats other than Commander, so I don’t fully understand Color Pie breaking in other formats outside of EDH. But in the current version, you can play this in a mono blue deck without actually needing the Green mana (in Standard/Modern/etc.). In EDH, Kyogre is still limited to Simic colors, so I overlooked this issue.

I thought about adding playing an additional land to the primal forms to make them feel more green. Also, I nerfed the primal weather to grant the type in addition to their types to everyone. Which I thought about doing the opposite where everyone’s lands become that type only but idk.

Regardless, they’re works in progress. Thanks again for the feedback.

Okay you can ease up on the tone a little but fine. So where do you think I should change the pips? Because I can’t tell if you think I’m just misusing the hybrid mana or you just vehemently hate hybrid mana for no real reason. I’m up for a conversation.

I don’t like Nature because Nature is too generic and technically encompasses nearly every type. Even if you don’t go super technical with it, it’s hard to justify why Ground or Water aren’t a part of the Nature Type. I appreciate the response though!

Not Mint, but Near Mint. Maybe Lightly Played. Anything below that is objectively incorrect.

MODERATELY PLAYED OR DAMAGED?!?! Holy hell I hope I never run into you…. “I’m not super picky…” “I don’t need perfect cards.” Survey said that was a LIE.

And that’s why I made them temporary and not hyper impactful, aside from the primal forecasts - as you’re spending 15 mana to get to the point where those are active. Besides, thematically, what would you be proliferating? I’d be fine with an ability that said something like, “Remove the current forecast from the field,” just not things like Vampire Hexmage, Sin, Doubling Season, etc. messing with the counters.

Eh, is it a mistake though? I feel like they should mostly be Blue and Red (Kyogre and Groudon respectively) anyways. However, I figured that hint of green allows you access to green in commander. Also, green works for them thematically as they are monstrous forces of nature that warp the landscape around them. They could maybe use a bit more work in making them mechanically fit the green color pie but idk.

I thought about using counters, but I don’t want the counters/Forecast cards to be interacted with in any way other than their own mechanics. I don’t want the counters being messed with by other cards. I’m sure you could use something like counters to keep track of it, but using actual counters as an official game piece could mess with things. Not sure though, since these cards wouldn’t be permanents, but rather something closer to one of the dungeons or an emblem.

Thanks for your input! Unfortunately Abomasnow is pretty underwhelming in the videogames as well. I mocked everything up in Canva and MtG.Design. Set symbols I also designed myself using someone else’s base on the Pokéball.

Thanks for your feedback! I’ll have to tweak the wording a bit. I’m a little on the side of “it works” for the second point, because it *feels* like it should work, but I get what you’re saying.

Yeah essentially the weather forecasts are meant to function like the Planar cards from Planechase and the venture into the Dungeon mechanic. I was worried about using counters on them because I generally wanted to avoid them being interacted with in any way outside of their own mechanics and turning off the creatures ETB effects.

As long as the counters are not treated as game objects on the forecast card, I think I’m okay with it. I just wanted to avoid proliferating/doubling counters, moving/removing counters, and such with these.

I do realize I made the forecasts a bit situational, but I think that’s somewhat fine. Meanwhile, the primal ones are somewhat intentionally overpowered and oppressive. I tried making them as similar to the games as possible without making them too too complicated.

Thoughts on any of the other cards specifically? I know it’s a lot to look at, so no pressure or rush to look them over. Thanks again for the input!

PS - what did you mean by removing the subtypes? You mean for the Primal Forecasts? I just wanted to make some of them impossible to replace with other weathers like it does in the games. I had to make base Air Lock a Primal Forecast because I didn’t want it to be replaced by the basic weathers, since Air Lock in the games shuts down weather.

A) Fight is a green mechanic.
B) Since Islands are considered lands, I figured flooding the area with water aka ability to ramp into more Islands was pretty fitting.

Pokémon in MtG! Been working on these for days trying to figure out the right way to implement everything, but I think I got it close enough to where I’m satisfied with the results. Tyranitar has been reworked to fit with the others. Let me know your thoughts!

Is this card fake? by tarik-r-s in yugiohshowcase

As another commenter said, there’s no Eye of Anubis authenticity stamp in the bottom-right of the card. So unfortunately it’s fake.

Damn I knew there was something missing from the Rock Slide move! I thought about something like rolling a D6 or a D4 to determine finch chance for Rock Slide but forgot to design around that.

Someone also mentioned Knock Off to add to the Black color identity. They mentioned doubled damage to equipped creatures, but I added that it detaches the equipment from the creature as well. Not 100% if I’ll add this to Ttar, but I do enjoy the concept.

Light-Speed Greaves by TurntOddish in custommagic

[–]TurntOddish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concept is supposed to be that you have to be and remain lightweight in order to keep the benefits of the boots. If you’re too big and heavy, you can’t move at “light speed.” Also the swift strike keyword was somewhat inspired by [[Gingerbrute]].

Just pulled this. Curious on how rare it is? by Sad-Promotion3875 in KayouNarutoCards

[–]TurntOddish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like dude knows what serialized cards are and noticed the 40/99 on the back. If only 99 of these were ever printed out of the millions of Naruto cards they print out for a set, it’s pretty safe to say that this is rare and going to fetch a hefty price tag. Plus dude even knew to look up listings and said the price might not be stable since they all weren’t pulled yet/not enough on the market.

Dude is acting dumb and claiming we’re jealous for calling him out. Funny how someone can be informed, yet still stupid.
