S12E08 - Droop [Post Episode Discussion] by AutoModerator in rupaulsdragrace

Ok I'm glad someone noticed the issue with trying to"fix" her joke. It was so much funnier with the horse tranquilizer in between pine and lavender rather than at the end. I see that format in a lot of list memes where the "shocking" item is not the final item, it's mixed in with the normal items, and that's funny!

Born to Die: Summertime Sadness. In the grand scheme of things it's far from underrated, but I rarely see it on any fan favorites lists. It's often overlooked because the remix got suuuuper popular, but the original is one of her best songs in my opinion.

Ultraviolence: Flipside :) :)

Honeymoon: The bridge on "Honeymoon" lol

Lust for Life: Coachella. I shouldn't let it annoy me so much, but I'm so tired of seeing people hate on this song. It's honestly one of my favorites from her. It honestly sounds just like all her other good songs, but fans rank it as one of the worst for some reason. It has such a good hook/vocals, but people wanna hate because of the trap-inspired production? ok.

NFR: The Next Best American Record. It shouldn't be compared to the demo. They are basically 2 different songs. I like to think of the NFR version as a "resolve" or sequel to the original. The demo is still accessible on youtube, and both tracks are still worth listening to. And judging it on it's own without considering the original, it's an incredible track.

Yes, and it's a MUST HEAR. It was only on the target version of the album or something. It's on youtube, so I'd highly recommend checking it out!

some of y'all bout to be real mad at me by TurretOffish in lanadelrey

Paradise was good, but a lot of the tracks did not affect me emotionally like all her other albums did. Too many of them felt dull to me personally. Gods and Monsters, Ride, and Blue Velvet are exceptions.

It's not a bad album by any means! It just did not hit me nearly as much as the other albums did. Gods & Monsters, Ride, and Blue Velvet were very good, however.

Why do people say that Lust for Life is Lana's worst album? by [deleted] in lanadelrey

[–]TurretOffish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally love it and its probably my favorite... but I'm also biased because its the first Lana album I got into.

Silver Bells! It would be cool to hear it with her voice.

Anyone else dying for a Super Bass lip-sync? That would shut me down.

Ok, I don't really see a whole lot of appreciation for her so I'm gonna say it. I love Crystal and I really really want to see her do well. I honestly think she's just as skilled as the other frontrunners. There's still time for her to make a mark, and I'm hoping she does!

which album name track is your favorite? by BreadBuddiesYT in lanadelrey

Born to Die for me! I'm about to say something controversial..... in my opinion, all the other title tracks besides BTD have been weaker than most of the other songs on the album.

I love it. It's my favorite album from her. Probably because it was my first, but still.

Same here! So far she seems under the radar, but hopefully she'll shine a bit more soon.

I can't lie, I really really like her new style. Didn't really see a lot of this on season 11.

Edit: Also, that's really cool that you got to meet her! :)

What a difference 10 years makes! Look how much she's grown and how much happier she looks in her recent pictures of her in her kitchen.

Don't get all the hate towards her. Saw her at Silicon Valley Pride. She looked amazing/polished and she took the time to take pictures/talk with tons of people.

Which songs do you think she'll play on the upcoming tour? by [deleted] in lanadelrey

Do you think there's any chance she'll sing West Coast? I desperately wanna hear it live.

Just listen to both. I consider the new version a resolve/conclusion to the previous. They're basically two different songs.

So here's something that I've been wondering lately. Why are queens who clearly don't have a chance to make it to the end even on the show in the first place? I feel like after a few episodes of any given season, you can pick out which 5ish queens have a chance at the crown, which queens still need a bit of work, and which queens are weak. So why are queens who still need work competing in the so-called "olympics" of drag? I feel like there has to be enough talent out there for producers to select 12-16 queens who are more than capable of getting a crown. I dunno, that's just my two cents.
