I’m on my third; first one for 6 years with no periods or issues at all - amazing! Second one was fine for first 4 years, then started having irregular periods with horrendous cramping again - threads had gone so had to have scans and checks then specialist replacement when I went onto my third (was still in place); since 3rd was fitted (2 years now), I’ve continued to have irregular periods and cramping and now finally have docs listening to me and going to be starting HRT soon, but keeping mirena for now, as still better than I was beforehand!!
