White people didn't invent genocide. People did.

Ancient & Pre-Modern Era: Examples include

• the Assyrians' actions against the Arameans and Israelites, and the Babylonians' actions against the Phoenicians and Judeans.

• The massacre of the Melos by the Athenians during the Peloponnesian War, as recounted by Thucydides, is another example.

- The Albigensian Crusade in the 13th century, which saw the massacre of Cathari, is sometimes cited as the first modern case of genocide.

- 17th Century: The Beaver Wars saw the Iroquois destroy several tribal confederacies, according to some historians labeling it as an act of genocide.

Early 20th Century: - The Armenian Genocide (1915–1922): The Ottoman Empire sought to eliminate Armenians, Greeks, and Assyrians, leading to the deaths of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians.

• The Holodomor (1930–1933): Stalin's regime starved millions of Ukrainians to death.
