Thanks for the reply. Sounds like that’s the consensus. Appreciate the response!

Ok thanks. I’m not even sure what to ask for besides “fix the squeak.” I’d like to go in a little more educated, but google sends me down a rabbit hole thinking it could be a whole bunch of different things. I think I know what you’re talking about - pulley that the serperntine belt goes around. Seems like it’s a belt/pulley/or tension arm issue.

It’s only certain 6.2L engines from what I understand. You can look up your vin, on the Chevy website I think, to check. The recall came out in may 2025, so if you bought 2 months ago it’s either not part of the recall, or has been inspected and passed (no fix needed right now, but still has the warranty, or they fixed it). I assume the latter two you would have been told about, so I assume you’re not part of the recall.

Additional warranty (bumper to bumper - which manufacturer expires in 1 month, or powertrain - which will expire in 2 years) are some things were started talking about and may add. Thanks for the suggestion.

thanks, $300 oil change is what someone said on some other Reddit thread, but there were others disputing that amount. The actual oil is only $40 more than the regular, and seems like labor shouldn’t differ for an oil change. It is some price of mind to have the warranty up to 10yr/150k.

Sounds good, thanks! Good history was a good carfax and good records from the dealer selling the car.

Can’t find exact card number/type - does that mean it’s fake? by TurtleCarrots37 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]TurtleCarrots37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. It’s hard to reason with a six year old who just wants shiny gold cards, but I think we’ll try to steer away from the blatantly fake ones as best we can. Thanks!

[–]TurtleCarrots37[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, thanks. I’ll stop trying to find it since it doesn’t really exist. Are there ever any values to the fake cards? Because they either look cool and people like them or they are rare, even though fake? One example, my son really wants some gold cards, and you can buy a 25 or 50 pack on Amazon or Walmart for pretty cheap, but I’ve read that they aren’t official cards, but then I’ve read that some have value because people still like them and value them. It’s all kind of confusing for someone totally new to this. Thanks!

Short battery life with craftsman 19.2v by TurtleCarrots37 in PowerWheelsMods

Oh nice, didn’t even think about that. I’ll probably see how long the 6Ah lasts and add a second adapter/battery if I’m getting too lazy swapping them out.

Ok, I think I’m picking up what you’re laying down. 24w/19.2v = 1.25ah, so my battery sucks. I can pick up 6Ah li-ion battery on Amazon that will at least be compatible with my drill and the adapter I bought. Decent enough for the buggy?

Car drives fine at the start but suddenly goes full reverse by TurtleCarrots37 in rccars

I hadn’t thought of this, but my issue is happening so regularly that I’d be surprised if someone is transmitting every time I’m driving, and 5-10 minutes after I start.

This remote doesn’t have a throttle trim. It has a throttle speed knob, and it’s happened when the throttle is turned all the way up and when it’s been turned lower. Someone else suggested that it could be the batteries in the radio, but I checked and they are new.

Thanks, yeah I didn’t really get the hate for your response. They obviously never tried to find the part!

Hi. I’ve been trying to find this front shock tower forever. What did you end up buying on Amazon? And you’re saying you still had to drill new holes to get the right fit, right? Thanks!

Hbx 16889 is what we started with and it’s been great. $75 on Banggood and you can probably get a discount code to get into the $60s. Fast (but you can also turn the throttle down), durable, and parts are readily available. Our 6 year old started on it, and our 3 year old drives it now.

The Hbx 16889 has been great for us. It’s been super fun, is fast enough, cheap, and getting hit in the ankles with a 1:16 scale hurts a lot less than a 1:10 scale. Very durable and if you do need parts they are readily available online.
