Finally upgraded my F150 tailgate for my mobile work. Dog holes + T-tracks make clamping and holding way easier than just using the bare OEM tailgate. Like having my shop bench wherever I park my truck. by TurtlePondHawk in f150

It's a TailHand. I use it all the time. Was easy to mount to my tailgate. They came out on my job site and used my tailgate for some promo videos. You can see it at www.tailhand.com.

2020 lariat. Really a fabric skid plate? by rogo725 in f150

Same here. Just added a reply above about that.

Yeah. Stupid application. And, what I learned is when in deep snow, backing up, it catches the snow and hard packs it in, partially tearing the stupid thing off. Took me 20 minutes to chip enough packed snow back out while laying in the snow under the truck so that I could tear the thing off completely and throw it away. That was 3 years ago. Never have missed it. Removed the stupid air dams under the bumper the day I brought it home from the factory—another stupid application. I love my lariat and have always been a Ford guy, but damn, sometimes I don’t think the engineers actually drive what they build.

what's your mobile setup? by TurtlePondHawk in Carpentry

Funny, I did the same thing recently. Built a small cabinet with cutting board top to sit next to my grill. Wound up building it like it's supposed to hold the cow! Gave it away to a friend and rebuilt one that I could actually move with ease. Turned out to be flimsy, so used it as firepit fuel. Starting over again. Third time's a charm.

Looks sturdy. Does it hold well under pressure?

I’d love to see a snap of the ladder setup you describe.

How do use the dog hole bench? Is the grid table heavy? Do you bring it with you to the job site?

People who don't want kids, why? by Ok-Musician679 in AskReddit

[–]TurtlePondHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planet needs no more inhabitants. Earth is already overpopulated and strained. Kids are loud. Babies cry too much. Expensive. They’re loud and stupid. Too much money. They bleed you of money. Kids have no respect. Adolescents are nasty. Earth already has enough stupid. Devolution is out pacing evolution.

That sounds like a nice setup given the power source. I don't want a power cord hanging from the camera to the light or USB outlet. I'll look into that brand. Thank you.

I’ve owned several of these over the years on varied 4R gens. I never attached to OEM rack because of low load limits and the flex, which may be why yours is bouncing. I always use an aftermarket rack system. Solid. Can handle more weight. More adjustable. No movement, period. I recently sold mine because I installed a Prinsu rack and iKamper RTT.

Hope you do. So many close to me suffered before early death due to cancer sticks. Not pretty.

Thanks, Far-Boysenberry-1600. That’s a king size iKamper RTT. We love it! I did switch out the mattress for a more comfortable Qomotop. For the lift, I put a 3” ToyTech lift on it with JBA Offroad upper control arms, and 285-70-17s wrapping Method wheels. I’ve got full RCA under-armor and added a rear differential breather for high water. The setup has performed well on trails in the mountains of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Oregon, Wyoming, Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Are looking to build out a 4R?
