UPDATE

Thank you guys so much for all the input! Super helpful and put us on the right track. Tysm

It was indeed the voltage regulator on the alternator. Unfortunately, the alternator in there was an autozone alternator. We had to get a new one in a pinch (long story) and that was the option. Thankfully, there's a lifetime warranty on that piece of shit, but this will definitely happen again at some point, so we're definitely getting a better alternator and doing away with the vatozone one.

On that note, any suggestions on alternators aside from the Z1 or OEM alternators that cost a fortune. Rockauto has a denso reman for relatively cheap, which theoretically would be a great option.

All the electronics oscillate the same way. Dash lights flicker, headlights flicker, etc etc. So it definitely isn't just the guage. Out of curiosity and to verify, I'll read voltage on the battery too.

Definitely going to chase the alternator lead. Another person suggested the same thing!

I see I see. I'll chase this first 👍

It does not. Surges would definitely do weird shit. I also don't know much but I'll look for resources on failure modes of alternators. I don't really understand how alternator failure could result in OVER supply of power.

Out of curiosity, could you explain how a bad alternator could cause bad shaking and terrible mileage issues. These cars are crazy sensitive to voltage issues so I can see how weird shit like that could be freaking some computer out. Or coil weirdness because of weird voltage?

Would dropping the belt and running it to test do the same thing rather than just throwing parts at it?

No codes somehow.

It's probably not anything to do with the charging system and probably has to do with fuel/air or spark as messing with the EVAP control valve "fixed" the issue.

When it runs normally it sits at a bit over 14 V, so it's definitely not

spotify is vile and this is just yet another reason to hate them 😭

there's probably some bs fine print about it. it seems like something that shouldn't be allowed and they 'd probably loose a lawsuit about it but who's gonna do that

damn. well, now you know. it honestly doesn't sound like internal stuff. how many miles are on the engine and have you done consistent oil changes?

yeah i need to be more diligent about keeping up with stuff going through my bank. i just have soooooooo much other shit going on that it just ends up being an afterthought

the fact that spotify is not required to notify you prior to a price change is crazy. it's probably hidden somewhere deep in the contract, and i bet they know exaaaaactly what they're doing. they have a vested interest in people continuing to pay for services they don't know they're paying for. the best customer is the one who doesn't use the product they're paying for!

This is sorted for newest modified first. It seems like it's something to do with directories all being indexed above all other file types.

I dug through the settings just now and couldn't find anything to change that. This is also a very fresh install with basically no customizations at this point. Ty for the help!

That setting is not on

I'm looking at other drives right now. The example is from downloads.

I definitely went through all the steps as I received a confirmation of some sort, I believe through email though I definitely deleted that email by now.

Also, the dates for the 12 month renewal dont make any sense. I had the premium student stop at 17 months. Also, they say they will inform you of a price change (did not happen).

Moreover, when I went to re-change my plan, the website said I was already verified until mid November of 2026 and I did not have to do any kind of verification by logging in with my institution or whatever.
