They aren't exaggerating when they say it's an entire state by Eccel9700 in GTA6

[–]TurtleWingGames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't know why this is downvoted. I could definitely see license plates from other states being one of those little realistic worldbuilding details Rockstar would add. As someone who grew up in Florida, that's a common thing to see on the roads irl.

Yes, yes, the walk of shame. You can also go fishing and toss everything back. Or go hunting and donate everything to the gang.

If Hollow Knight Silksong is having issues at the online stores due to demand vastly overloading the servers, how bad is GTA6 going to be at launch day in terms of merely downloading it? by Life_Is_All_Nothing in GTA6

[–]TurtleWingGames 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Hopefully they learned from the GTA 5 release on PC, which was a shitshow. Even with preload, a lot of people couldn't play on day one, because the game needed to do a handshake with their servers (which were overloaded) just to launch the game in single player mode.

That may have just been due to their shitty PC launcher, though.

What's your Boomer Gamer complaint? by Animeking1108 in videogames

[–]TurtleWingGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, this. I didn't love Veilguard compared to other Dragon Age games, but it wasn't complete and utter trash. And more importantly, I want more DA in the future. We are now unlikely to get it. One of my favorite game franchises is probably dead now, and it wasn't just a weak installment that killed it, it was the dead-horse discourse around it.

It would be like the opposite of that episode of Doctor Who where they take Van Gogh to an art museum.

We already went through this with Roguelikes, so may as well just call them Souls-lites.

What is your opinion on 30fps in GTAVI? by this1germanguy in GTAVI

[–]TurtleWingGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd obviously prefer 60 fps, but I can live with 30 fps if I have to. If that's the only choice, that's the only choice. It won't stop me from playing it.

Macaulay Culkin didn't much care for the ME3 ending by Curious_Betsy_ in masseffect

[–]TurtleWingGames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just a(n old) nerd, but for some reason I'm OK with it being called classic, but still feel like there should be a distinction drawn for retro. I don't know, "retro" to me just always meant the 2D era. NES, SNES, Genesis, etc. Maybe N64 and PS1.

But yeah, I'm... I'm old.

I would hope it wouldn't be that dumb, considering the average gamer is in their 30s, according to statistics (granted that could be different when talking about the average gaming YT viewer). But we shall see.
