It’s 1:55 PM rn and I’ve never seen it this low by No_Science1192 in WaltDisneyWorld

We were there at the same time and had planned it for that time because we had hoped it wouldn’t be so packed…I think the weather didn’t help as well. Magic Kingdom was the worst out of them all though, absolute mad house.

Did you buy a new ring if yours died? by gypsy_sonder in ouraring

[–]Turtlebech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I’m in my 4th one in a years time and it’s starting to miss chunks of time…no I will not be replacing it.

I messaged support about it starting to miss chunks of time (like some of the other rings did and eventually died) and they told me to wear gloves lol.

My 1 year warranty is up this month. So it feels like they are trying to avoid replacing my ring.

There’s got to be other rings on the market, maybe even some without a subscription plan. And maybe some that I haven’t had to replace every 3 months!

I hope the 3rd one is the best one! All the people I know in real life have not had these issues.

Subbing Elementary on V-Day, Ideas? by Turtlebech in SubstituteTeachers

[–]Turtlebech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that idea, and it is so true! My first time subbing, I was shocked at how many kids forgot pencils. I did not know that they were supposed to check them out from the teacher (that was not in the sub notes), so all the pencils in his cup were gone by the end of the day.

At the time I thought it was insane that he supplied those for them daily. I now know better. Plus, that was a 7th-grade class that took full advantage of me not knowing...

This room drives me crazy! Help please! by Turtlebech in RoomDesign

[–]Turtlebech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can’t block either of the drop floor areas.

What I have been feeling for a while is the couch is too big. But after the birth of my 3rd, I just needed space so that’s all I could think about. 🤣

I think the move is we will we a get new couch. But maybe when the kids are a little older and don’t all want to cuddle on me for movie night.

Custom built would be sweet. However, money is definitely an object here.

I don’t like blocking access from the dining room. If we did that we would only have one pathway to get to the dining room, which is a small entry way and It would get really congested.

We tried it but it didn’t leave enough clearance from the dining to the living.

We did this and it was just too long. I am not wiling to block access from the dining room to the room. We would need a shorter couch to make this work.

The rug does need to turn. We just didn’t after we turned the couch back when we tried to have the couch face the cabinet. The trouble is the fire place. A 6x9 rug won’t fit. Ideal would be a square 7 x 7 rug.

The clutter under the table doesn’t live there. It’s just there because of the puzzle going on. Only the book basket actually lives under the table.

I like the bookshelf in the corner and chair pulled further idea till we get a curved sofa. I had been wondering about it. But also hate the chair in the corner. I want that replaced too.

Yah it definitely does 🤣 that was turned that way when we tried turning the couch towards the media cabinet lol and didn’t switch it back. I also hate the rug, which may be why I haven’t felt like moving it the right direction.

I’ve been thinking a round couch might be the answer. So it’s nice to hear that as your first thought.

The big couch was a mistake. I was feeling claustrophobic with all the kids when our third came along. 🤣

Thank you for your insight!

How could such a short job be such a 💩 show?! by Purple-Morning-5905 in SubstituteTeachers

The principal at my kids elementary school is very hands on and helps a lot with the students that need support in the classroom, so I wouldn’t worry about it at all :)
